It's the last Thursday night game of the season, but more importantly if your fantasy team is playing this week you're still alive in the playoffs. For a lot of leagues this is Super Bowl week, but I'm in two leagues that play though Week 17. Tonight it's the 10-4 New York Giants against the 5-9 Philadelphia Eagles. The Giants will be a playoff team, but there is a chance that they can still win the NFC East if things fall right for them. Let's take a look and see if we can get the right players in our line up from tonight's game.

Eli Manning has 25 touchdowns to 13 interceptions through 15 weeks. He's probably the biggest reason the Giants are where they are. I've never been a huge Eli fan, but tonight he's a START for me.

Carson Wentz came out of the gate playing well, but has really cooled off. Did the NFL catch up with him or was it just the fact that he's dealing with a rookie learning curve. It appears as though Wentz has a bright future, but for me he's a SIT tonight.

Running Back:

I can't get far enough away from the Giants running game. No matter if it's Rashad Jennings, Paul Perkins or Orleans Darkwa it's a SIT. If you're in a deep league Perkins could have some value do to his pass catching ability, but it would have to be a very deep league.

Ryan Mathews has had his injuries this season and has also been up and down. Now with the injuries in the Eagles backfield he's really the only option they have running the football. The Giants are 6th best against the run this season, but I think Mathews will see enough touches to be a START tonight.

Wide Receiver:

If you're an Odell Beckham Jr. owner you don't have to be told that he's a START each and every week no matter who the Giants are playing. Hopefully Beckham Jr. adds to his season total 10 touchdowns tonight.

Sterling Shepard has turned into a solid #2 wide receiver for the Giants, but he hasn't turned into a good fantasy player like some thought he would. Shepard does have 7 touchdown catches this season, but is tonight the night he gets another one. I have Shepard as a SIT tonight.

Victor Cruz just doesn't get the targets anymore to be a good fantasy play. In a deep league Cruz may have some value if they'll throw him the football. Cruz gets a little over 3 targets a game and has 1 touchdown on the season. Cruz is a SIT for me tonight.

Jordan Matthews has 71 catches and 3 touchdowns this season. Matthews is the only Eagles wide receiver even worth looking at in this game, but I just couldn't find enough reasons to use him. Mathews is a SIT for me tonight.

Even in a PPR league I can't come up with enough positives to use either Doral Green-Beckham or Nelson Agholor. They both have 34 catches this season whole Green-Beckham has been targeted two more times and has one more touchdown. Green-Beckham has 2 while Agolor has 1 touchdown. As you can guess I'm looking at two SIT for tonight.

Tight End:

Willie Tye has 1 touchdown on 39 catches an averages 8.3 yards per catch. If you have this strong belief that Tye is going to get his second touchdown tonight feel free to use him. I just can't do it; so he's a SIT for me.

Zach Ertz was expected to work his way into the top tier of tight ends this season, but he didn't quite get there. Ertz is the Eagles 2nd leading receiver with 63 catches and has been playing better as of late. Ertz has 25 receptions and a touchdown over the last 3 weeks. I'm going to go with Ertz as a START tonight.

Defense/Special Teams:

While I mentioned the Giants are the 6th best defense against the run, but they are 23rd against the pass. The Giants do have a solid return game, but not flashy. I'm going to go with the Giants Defense/Special Teams as a START tonight.

The Philadelphia defense is ranked 2th overall and they are very opportunistic. The Eagles have 11 interceptions and 10 fumble recoveries this season. They also have a return touchdown this season. This may be a gamble tonight, but I'm going with the Eagles Defense/Special Teams as a START.

Good luck in Week 16 be it in your Super Bowl or if like me it's the semi-final round of your fantasy league. As always thanks for taking the time to read this article and come back tomorrow and we'll see how my picks worked out.
