The final week of the NFL season was all contained in just Sunday games; so it gives us an early start for our review. Now I know a lot of fantasy season where already wrapped up, but I was actually in a couple that went through Week 17. I was even lucky enough to win the Super Bowl in my league yesterday. Let's take a look and see who the top scoring fantasy players where for the final week of the regular season.

Quarterback:

Aaron Rodgers led all quarterbacks in the final week of the season with 38.20 fantasy points. Rodgers threw for 300 yards with 4 touchdowns. Rodgers ran the football a surprising 10 times for 42 yards. Rodgers added a 2-point conversion with his only negative being the 1 sack he took.

Matt Ryan of the Atlanta Falcons was 2nd with 30.82 fantasy points. Ryan threw for 331 yards and a4 touchdowns. Ryan ran the football 2 times for 2 yards as well. Ryan's only negative was the 1 sack he took.

Tom Brady of the New England Patriots was 3rd for the week with 26.37 fantasy points. Brady threw for 276 yards and 3 touchdowns while running the football 1 time for 6 yards. Brady also converted a 2-point conversion.

Alex Smith of the Kansas City Chiefs grabs the 4th spot for the week with 24.38 fantasy points. Smith threw for 264 yards and 2 touchdowns. Smith also ran the football 6 times for 21 yards and a rushing touchdown. Smith did throw an interception and was sacked 1 time.

The final spot for the week goes to Sam Bradford of the Minnesota Vikings who had 23.65 fantasy points. Bradford threw for 250 yards and 3 touchdowns. Bradford ran the football 1 time for 24 yards. Bradford's only negative was the 1 interception he threw.

E.J. Manuel got the start for the Buffalo Bills in Week 17 and it didn't go well. Manuel threw for 86 yards, but did run 2 times for 8 yards. Manuel was sacked 2 times and lost a fumble. His 0.02 fantasy points wouldn't of been at help for you at all if you played him.

Running Back:

How many people started Rex Burkhead of the Cincinnati Bengals? Burkhead put up 34.65 fantasy points in Week 17. Burkhead carried the football 27 times for 119 yards and 2 touchdowns while adding 2 receptions for 25 yards.

Here's another running back surprise in the two spot. Charcandrick West of the Kansas City Chiefs scored 31.35 fantasy points. West had 16 carries for 58 yards and added 5 receptions for 58 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Let's keep going with the surprises as Shaun Draughn of the San Francisco 49ers took the 3rd spot for the week with 31.15 fantasy points. Draughn had 21 carries for just 42 yards, but scored 2 touchdowns. Draughn also caught 4 passes for 68 yards.

Here's a name we're a little more familiar with as DeVonta Freeman of the Atlanta Falcons finished 4th for the week with 30.45 fantasy points. Freeman had 96 yards rushing on 12 carries and scored a touchdown. Freeman also added 5 catches for 81 yards.

The final spot for the week goes to DeAngelo Williams of the Pittsburgh Steelers with 29.40 fantasy points. Williams had 23 carries for 67 yards and a touchdown. Williams also caught 3 passes for 27 yards and a receiving touchdown.

The regular season didn't end well for Latavius Murray of the Oakland Raiders. The Raiders where playing for the #2 seed in the AFC and Murray wasn't much help as he had 5 carries for 11 yards and 1 reception for 14 yards. Murray's 4.50 fantasy points weren't much help for his fantasy owners either.

Wide Receiver:

Julian Edelman of the New England Patriots takes the top spot for the week with 30.20 fantasy points. Edelman had 8 receptions for 151 yards and a touchdown to go with 1 rushing attempt for 6 yards and a 2-point conversion.

The 2nd spot for the week goes to Michael Thomas of the New Orleans Saints with 29.35 fantasy points. Thomas had 10 receptions for 156 yards and a touchdown in Week 17.

Rishard Matthews of the Tennessee Titans takes the 3rd spot for the week with 24.40 fantasy points. Matthews had 9 receptions for 114 yards and a touchdown in Week 17.

The 4th spot for the week goes to Davante Adams of the Green Bay Packers who had 21.60 fantasy points for the week. Adams had 6 receptions for just 31 yards, but scored 2 touchdowns and even added a 2-pont conversion.

The final spot for the week goes to Julio Jones of the Atlanta Falcons with 20.85 fantasy points. Jones had 7 receptions for 96 yards and a touchdown in Week 17.

Not the best of weeks for Alshon Jeffery of the Chicago Bears. Jeffery managed just 3 fantasy points in Week 17. Jeffery was targeted 3 times, but caught just 1 passes for 10 yards and didn't offer much fantasy help.

Tight End:

Fantasy owners have been waiting for Zach Ertz of the Philadelphia Eagles to have a breakout week all season and he may have had it too late for some of those fantasy players. Ertz put up 35.90 fantasy points in Week 17 by catching 13 passes for 139 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Another tight end fantasy owners have been waiting for Kyle Rudolph of the Minnesota Vikings had a big week as well with 26.20 fantasy points. Rudolph caught 11 passes for 117 yards and 2 touchdowns in Week 17.

The 3rd spot for the week goes to Dennis Pitta of the Baltimore ravens who scored 17.35 fantasy points. Pitta caught 11 passes for 91 yards in the final week of the season.

Antonio Gates of the San Diego Chargers takes the 4th spot for the week with 15.25 fantasy points for the week. Gates caught 5 passes for 55 yards and had a touchdown.

The final spot goes to Gary Barnidge of the Cleveland Browns with 13.75 fantasy points. Barnidge caught 5 passes for 40 and a touchdown in Week 17.

Dion Sims of the Miami Dolphins has been a good surprise for fantasy owners this season, but not in Week 17. Sims had just 1 target in the Dolphins Week 17 game and put up just 1.25 fantasy points for the week.

Defense/Special Teams:

The Arizona Cardinals take the top spot for the week with 30.79 fantasy points. Arizona had 7 sacks, 2 interceptions, a fumble recovery and a defensive touchdown while giving up just 6 points in Week 17.

The Minnesota Vikings took the 2nd spot for the week with 26.70 fantasy points. Minnesota had 2 sacks, 2 interceptions, 3 fumble recoveries and a defensive touchdown while giving up 10 points.

The New York Giants finished 3rd for the week with 23.84 fantasy points. New York had 4 sacks, 2 interceptions a fumble recovery and a defensive touchdown while giving up 10 points.

The Denver Broncos finished 4th for the week with 20.46 fantasy points. Denver had 2 sacks an interception and 2 fumble recoveries while giving up just 6 points.

The final spot for the week goes to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with 18.03 fantasy points. Tampa Bay had 3 sacks, 3 interceptions and a defensive touchdown while giving up 16 points.

It was a bad week for New Orleans Saints who had -3.35 fantasy points for the week, New Orleans managed just 1 sack in Week 17.

Kickers:

Chandler Catanzaro of the Arizona Cardinals was the top scoring kicker with 15 fantasy points.

Nick Folk of the New York Jets was 2nd with 13.25 fantasy points.

Cairo Santos of the Kansas City Chiefs was 3rd with 13 fantasy points.

Steven Hauschka of the Seattle Seahawks was 4th with 11 fantasy points.

Jason Myers of the Jacksonville Jaquars and Stephen Gostowski of the New England Patriots tied for the final spot with 10 fantasy points.

Andrew Franks of the Miami Dolphins had a tough week getting just 2 fantasy points in Week 17.

There you go the Week 17 wrap up. I hope you had the right guys in your line up and got yourself a Super Bowl win. Thanks for taking the time to read this article.
