Here's hoping that you had a good Week 2. Let's take a look and see who ended up being the top scores for the week by position. Like I always tell you I'm using the scoring system from my Yahoo snake league; it's customized, but should be very close to what these players scored for you.

Quarterback:

Cam Newton of the Carolina Panthers led all quarterbacks with 31.76 fantasy points. Newton put up 353 yards with 4 touchdowns and 1 interception. He also added 37 yards rushing on 6 carries, but did fumble. Newton was also sacked 1 time on Sunday.

Phillip Rivers of the San Diego Chargers scored 26.15 fantasy points to finish 2nd for the week. Rivers threw for just 220 yards, but had 4 touchdown passes. Rivers was sacked 3 times and did fumble 1 time, but also ran the football 1 time for 10 yards. .

Matt Ryan of the Atlanta Falcons scored 25.42 fantasy points to grab the 3rd spot on the quarterback list for the week. Ryan threw for 396 yards with 3 touchdowns and 1 interception. Ryan was sacked 1 time, but also converted a 2-point conversion as well.

Derek Carr of the Oakland Raiders scored 24.98 fantasy points on Sunday and was the 4th highest scoring quarterback of the week. Carr threw for 299 yards and 3 touchdowns. Car was sacked 1 time, but did run the football 2 times for 10 yards.

Matt Forte of the New York Jets out up 37.90 fantasy points on Thursday night to lead the way for the week. Forte carried the football 30 times for 100 yards on the nose. He also scored 3 touchdowns and caught 2 passes for 9 yards.

DeAngelo Williams of the Pittsburgh Steelers had another good fantasy week scoring 30.20 fantasy points as the 3nd highest scoring running back of the week. Williams had 32 carries for 94 yards an added 4 receptions for 38 yards and a touchdown.

Giovani Bernard of the Cincinnati Bengals scored 26.45 fantasy points to grab the 3rd spot for the week. Bernard carried the football just 5 times for 17 yards, but he really did his scoring in the passing game where he caught 9 [asses for 100 and a touchdown. Bernard did have a fumble in the game.

Melvin Gordon of the San Diego Chargers was the 4th highest scoring running back of the week with 26.25 points. Gordon had 24 carries for 102 yards and a touchdown. He also caught 3 passes for 18 yards.

Isaiah Crowell of the Cleveland Browns rounds out the Top 5 with 26.05 fantasy points on the week. Crowell carried the football 18 times for 133 yards and a touchdown. Crowell also caught 1 pass for 18 yards.

Here's hoping you didn't start Thomas Rawls of the Seattle Seahawks. Rawls ran the football 7 times for -7 yards. He did catch 3 passes for 15 yards. All in all Rawls scored 4.80 fantasy points for the week.

Wide Receiver:

Stefon Diggs of the Minnesota Vikings was the highest scoring receiver for the week with 31.20 fantasy points. Diggs had 9 catches for 182 yards and a touchdown.

Kelvin Benjamin of the Carolina Panthers came in 3rd for the week among receivers with 28.30 fantasy points. Benjamin caught 7 passes for 108 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Corey Coleman of the Cleveland Browns scored 26.40 fantasy points to grab the 4th highest scoring spot of the week. Coleman caught 5 passes for 104 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Eric Decker of the New York Jets rounds out the Top 5 for the week with 23.35 fantasy points. Decker grabbed 6 passes for 126 yards and a touchdown.

Another Seahawks player grabs the bottom spot as I hope you didn't play Jermaine Kearse. Kearse targeted 6 times, but caught just 2 balls for 11 yards. Kearse put up 2.60 fantasy points for the week.

Tight Ends:

Greg Olsen of the Carolina Panthers led all tight ends with 23.45 fantasy points in Week 2. Olsen caught 5 passes for 122 yards and a touchdown.

Dennis Pitta of the Baltimore Ravens rounds out the Top 5 tight ends for the week with 17.20 fantasy points. Pitta caught 9 passes for 102 yards.

Austin Seferian-Jenkins was the tight end to stay away from for Week 2. Seferian-Jenkins caught 2 passes for 14 yards and totaled just 2.90 fantasy points for the week.

Defense/Special Teams:

I'm not going to go into to many stats here for you; just the points. The Denver Broncos took the top spot with 25.29 fantasy points. The Arizona Cardinals finished 2nd with 25.03 fantasy points. The Carolina Panther scored 20.82 fantasy points to take the 3rd spot. It was the Houston Texans in the 4th spot with 18.04 fantasy points and rounding out the Top 5 was the Baltimore Ravens with 17.83 fantasy points.

I'm hoping since there where no bye weeks that you didn't play the Oakland Raiders defense. The Raiders defense scored just 0.05 fantasy points in Week 2.

Kickers:

Cairo Santos of the Kansas City Chiefs, Graham Gano of the Carolina Panthers and Justin Tucker of the Baltimore Ravens all tied for the top spot with 16 fantasy points for the week. Nick Novak of the Houston Texans scored 15.25 fantasy points to take the 4th spot for the week. Brandon McManus rounds out the Top 5 with 15 fantasy points for the week.

It was Tampa Bay Buccaneers kicker Robert Aguayo who ended up with the bottom spot for the week in scoring. Aguayo scored just 1 fantasy point for the week. Making the only kick he had; an extra point.

I hope that you had the guys listed on the Top 5 list and you picked up a win in Week 2. Good luck in Week 3 and thanks for taking the time to read this.
