The Tennessee Titans got back to .500 with a 36-22 victory over the Jacksonville Jaquars on Thursday night football. I picked the game right, but let's look and see how I did with my Start/Sit suggestions from yesterday. You know the drill I'm using the scoring system from my 20-tean Yahoo league.

Quarterback:

With the Jaquars going down big early Blake Bortles got to throw the football quite a bit which is good for fantasy owners. Bortles put up 337 yards with 3 touchdowns and ran the football 4 times for 22 yards and added a 2-point conversion as well. Bortles only negatives where the 2 sacks he took. I had him as a SIT because I wasn't sold on him, but his 28.94 fantasy points say I should've believed in him one more week.

Marcus Mariota was hurt by the same thing that help Bortles. With a big lead built up the Titans where able to run the ball and try to eat up the clock. Mariota did put up 19.25 fantasy points throwing for 270 yards 2 touchdowns and he ran the football 3 times for 11 yards. I had Mariota as a Start and I think he did just enough to be one this week.

Running Back:

Chris Ivory was a Sit for me last night even though I like him as a player. Luckily I listened to myself as Ivory had just 4 carries for 6 yards and 1 reception for 6 yards. Hopefully you sat Ivory as well since I don't think his 2.95 fantasy points will help you much this week.

T.J. Yeldon was a Sit for me as well as I just couldn't get invested in the Jacksonville ground game, Yeldon did a little better than Ivory putting up 9.35 fantasy points. Yeldon had 3 carries for 20 yards and caught 4 passes for 36 yards on the night.

DeMarco Murray put up 123 yards on 21 carries and scored a touchdown. Murray also caught a pass for 5 yards. Murray was worth 24.80 fantasy points last night and he was a Start for me. I hope you had him in your line up as well.

I wasn't as high on Derrick Henry, but with that lead Henry got some carries and did well. Henry carried the football 16 times for 60 yards and a touchdown and caught 4 passes for 37 yards. Henry was a Sit for me yesterday, but I missed here as he scored 22.70 fantasy points.

Wide Receiver:

Allen Robinson scored 11.50 fantasy points. I liked him as a Start and he had a chance to pout up big numbers as Bortles targeted him 15 times in the game. Robinson ended up with 6 catches for 70 yards and I should've had him on the bench.

Allen Hurns was the Jacksonville wide receiver to have as he caught 7 passes for 98 yards and a touchdown. Sadly I missed on Hurns as well as I had him as a Sit,, but he put up 21.05 fantasy points last night.

Marqise Lee had been a bit of a fantasy sleeper the last few weeks, but not last night. Lee caught just 1 pass for 21 yards, He did add 45 return yards, but also lost a fumble. I wasn't sold on Lee and had him as a Sit. I hope you did as well since he out up just 1.75 fantasy points.

Rishard Matthews scored 12.80 fantasy points last night. Matthews caught 4 passes for 38 yards, but scored a touchdown. I had Matthews as a Sit yesterday and I think that was the right choice.

Tajae Sharpe was also a Sit for me yesterday, Sharpe had just 1 catch for 11 yards. so the sit was the right call. Sharpe ended up scoring 1.85 fantasy points; so I hope you had better options.

Kendall Wright was suppose to be the Titans #1 receiver a season or two ago, but it seems with these last few weeks he's taken that spot. I wasn't sold on Wright last night, but he proved me wrong catching 4 passes for 84 yards and a touchdown. Wright also ran the football 1 time for 15 yards and added 4 return yards as well. I had Wright as a sit last night, but he scored 19.23 fantasy points and I should've had him as a start.

Tight End:

Julius Thomas was injured coming into the game; so it was a tough call to make with him. I went with him as a Sit and I think it was the right call. Thomas scored 11.05 fantasy points by catching 3 passes for 28 yards and a touchdown.

Delaine Walker also scored 11.05 fantasy points, but I had him as a Start. Walker caught 4 passes for 75 yards, but didn't score. That point total made me right on Thomas, but wrong on Walker.

Defense/Special Teams:

Jacksonville was a Sit for me yesterday. Please tell me you didn't use this unit yesterday. The Jaquars gave up 36 points and didn't record a turnover they ended up being worth -3.20 fantasy points last night. OUCH!

Tennessee had a little better not, but not good enough to be the Start I picked them as. The Titans did have 2 sacks and a fumble recovery, but their 5.02 fantasy points just wasn't good enough to start them.

It looks like I had a positive week with 10 correct picks and 6 that I missed on. Hopefully you had the right players in last night and your fantasy week got off to a good start. Thanks for taking the time to read this article and good luck with the rest of Week 8.
