With Week 9 in the NFL wrapped up let's take a look back and see who the Top 5 scorers where at each position. Hopefully some of these players where on your fantasy team. Like I always do I'll use the scoring system from my 20-team Yahoo league.

Quarterback:

Matt Ryan of the Atlanta Falcons was the fantasy quarterback to have this week. Ryan threw for 344 yards and 4 touchdowns. Ryan also ran the football 2 times, but for 0 yards. Ryan had a couple of negatives as he was sacked 2 times and lost a fumble. Ryan ended Week 9 with 28.38 fantasy points.

Marcus Mariota of the Tennessee Titans took the 2nd spot for fantasy quarterbacks this week with 26.41 fantasy points. Mariota threw for 313 yards and 3 touchdowns while also rushing for 14 yards on 3 carries with a touchdown. Mariota threw 2 interceptions and lost a fumble to lose some points.

Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers grabbed the 3rd spot for the in fantasy scoring for the week with 26.24. Rodgers threw for 297 yards and 3 touchdowns while also running for 43 yards on 6 carries. Rodgers lost some points by throwing an interception and being sacked 3 times.

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott was a popular daily fantasy play this week and he did well. Prescott threw for 247 yards and 3 touchdowns. Prescott also carried the football 4 times for 20 yards. There where no negatives for Prescott as he put up 25.94 fantasy points.

Eli Manning of the New York Giants grabbed the 5th spot om our list with 24.74 fantasy points. Manning threw for 257 yards and 4 touchdown. Manning did run the football 2 times, but he ended up with -4 yards. Manning did lose some points by being sacked 1 time and throwing 2 interceptions.

The quarterback you hopefully didn't play this week was Carson Wentz of the Philadelphia Eagles. Wentz did throw for 344 yards, but ran the football 4 times for -4 yards. Wentz also lost some points by throw 2 interceptions and being sacked 2 times. Wentz ended up with just 2.88 fantasy points in Week 9.

Running Back:

Melvin Gordon of the San Diego Chargers led all running backs this week with 43.10 fantasy points. Gordon carried the football 32 times for 196 yards and a touchdown. Gordon also had 4 receptions for 65 yards in Week 9.

Oakland Raiders running back Latavious Murray takes the 2nd spot on our list with 36.45 fantasy points. Murray carried the football 20 for 114 yards and 3 touchdowns. Murray also caught the only pass he was targeted on an took it for 13 yards.

Mark Ingram of the New Orleans Saints is next on our list. Ingram ran for 158 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries. Ingram also caught 2 passes for 13 yards and a touchdown. Ingram finished the week with 34.35 fantasy points.

While Jay Ajayi of the Miami Dolphins didn't get 200 rushing yards this week he did manage to get 111 yards on 24 carries and a touchdown. Ajayi also caught 3 passes for 19 yards. Ajayi ended the week with 27.25 fantasy points.

Our second Dallas Cowboys player grabs the final spot here as Ezekiel Elliott put up 26.95 fantasy points for the week. Elliott carried the football 18 times for 92 yards and 2 touchdowns. Elliott added some fantasy points by catching 1 pass for 5 yards.

Hopefully you didn't start Devontae Booker of the Denver Broncos. Booker had 10 carries 22 yards and caught just 1 pass for 8 yards, but was targeted 3 times. Booker scored 6.25 fantasy points in Week 9, Sadly he was in my starting line up.

Wide Receiver:

We go back to the Thursday night game to get our top scoring receiver. Mike Evans of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers scored 35.50 fantasy points to take the top spot. Evans was targeted 17 times; catching 11 of those passes for 150 yards and 2 touchdowns.

I last nights (Monday) game Robert Woods of the Buffalo Bulls had a good night. Woods was targeted 13 times catching 10 of them for 162 yards. Woods scored 23.95 fantasy points for the week.

Next we have another receiver from the Thursday night game as Julio Jones of the Atlanta Falcons takes the 3rd spot for the week with 23.35 fantasy points. Jones caught 8 of the 11 passes he was targeted on for 111 yards and a touchdown.

Finally we get a receiver from a Sunday game on the list. Michael Thomas of the New Orleans Saints scored 23.05 fantasy points as he was targeted 8 times catching 5 of those passes for 73 yards and 2 touchdowns. 

Rishard Matthews of the Tennessee Titans takes the final spot on our list with 22.80 fantasy points. Matthews was targeted 10 times catching 6 of those passes for 63 yards and scoring 2 touchdowns.

Hopefully the receiver you didn't start was Davante Parker of the Miami Dolphins. There was hope that Parker would become a solid fantasy players as the Dolphins #2 receiver. In Week 9 Parker had 2.30 fantasy points. Parker was targeted 4 times catching 2 of those passes for 8 yards.

Tight End:

Jimmy Graham of the Seattle Seahawks led all tight ends with 28.55 fantasy points. Graham was targeted 8 times and caught all 8 of those passes for 103 yards and 2 touchdowns.

It was a good week to start Dallas Cowboys as Jason Witten is the third one to make the list. Witten scored 25.65 fantasy points in Week 9. Witten was targeted 10 times catching 8 passes for 134 yards and a touchdown.

Antonio Gates of the San Diego Chargers scored 17.25 fantasy points in Week 9. Gates was targeted 9 times catching 5 of those passes for 75 yards and scoring a touchdown.

Vance McDonald of the San Francisco 49ers was a nice surprise this week. McDonald caught 3 of the 6 passes he was targeted on going for 84 yards and a touchdown. McDonald ended the week with 16.65 fantasy points.

Zach Ertz of the Philadelphia Eagles has been considered a fantasy bust this season, but he makes the list for Week 9 with 15.70 points. Ertz caught all 8 of the passes he was targeted on. Ertz totaled 97 yards in Week 9.

Hopefully the tight end you didn't start was Dwayne Allen of the Indianapolis Colts. Fantasy owners where happy to get Allen back from injury, but he struggled in his return. Allen was targeted 2 times and caught 1 of those passes for 15 yards. Allen ended up with 2.25 fantasy points for Week 9.

Defense/Special Teams:

The Miami Dolphins take the top spot for Week 9 with 20.51 fantasy points. Miami had 3 sacks, 2 interceptions and a return touchdown for the week.

The Indianapolis Colts finished the week in the 2nd spot with 18.27 fantasy points. The Colts had 3 sacks an interception and a return touchdown for the week,

The Baltimore Ravens grabbed the 3rd spot with 16.22 fantasy points. Baltimore had 2 sacks an interception and a fumble recovery for a touchdown on the week. 

The Kansas City Chiefs took the 4th spot with 15.66 fantasy points. Kansas City had 2 sacks an interception and 3 fumble recoveries for the week.        

Grabbing the final spot are the Los Angeles rams with 13.85 fantasy points. Los Angeles gave up just 13 points and had 5 sacks in there game.

The Defense/Special Teams you hopefully didn't play was the Cleveland Browns. The Browns gave up 35 points in Week 9 and totaled -2.50 fantasy points for the week.

Kicker:

Matt Bryant of the Atlanta Falcons and Matt Prater of the Detroit Lions tied for the top spot with 17 fantasy points.

Cairo Santos of the Kansas City Chiefs scored 16 fantasy points for the week.

Phil Dawson of the San Francisco 49ers had 14 fantasy points in Week 9.

Will Lutz of the New Orleans Saints, Brandon McManus of the Denver Broncos and Sebastien Janikowski of the Oakland Raiders all tied with 12 fantasy points in Week 9.

No fantasy luck if you started Jason Myers of the Jacksonville Jaquars. Myers had just 2 extra points for a total of 2 fantasy points on the week.
