Hey guys,
So by now I'm sure a lot of you, if not all of you, have heard of this kid Jacob Sartorius? Though I'm not sure how you wouldn't have heard of him, it seems like he's everywhere. Anyways, recently it seems that he's popped up on my newsfeed more than I wish he would. I didn't even know he existed until I was watching some YouTube video and a 'Reaction to Jacob Sartorius' video came up in the suggestions. Then it got me thinking about how all these little boys are pretty much famous and literally for nothing. People actually pay money to watch them fool around on a stage for a couple hours and to take a few pictures. There are hundreds of girls out there who say that boys like our pal Jacob and Cameron Dallas have saved their lives. And okay, okay I used to be one of those girls unfortunately. But now, it kind of just hit me. These boys upload a short video of them lip syncing to a popular song and BAM! They have a million and twelve followers on all of their social media accounts. I don't get it? They're lip syncing? Not actually singing? Why are they such a big deal all of a sudden?

Anyways, I had the fortunate luck to listen to the "wonderful" 'Sweatshirt' by 13-year-old Jacob. Let me just tell you, watching that video physically pained me. I was embarrassed for our buddy Jacob I'm not trying to be harsh, but if you have never ever sung once in your lifetime, don't believe the first person who listens to you that tells you that you can. Jacob's video for his "wonderful" song follows him around school as he hopelessly is bullied but is trying to win the heart of a girl that honestly looks way older than him and seems to not know he exists. If you want to check out this video that so many little girls are probably swooning over, here's the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IvxRsDpXPGo so you can feel free to watch that and feel my pain.

The thing that I really don't understand is just how these little kids become famous. Because I can assure you only about one in ten of them have any real talent. Let me just tell you that posting a lip sync video of yourself doesn't prove anything except that CONGRATS, YOU KNOW THE LYRICS OF A SONG WELL ENOUGH TO COPY IT!! Why are they suddenly famous? Dang, if all it takes is a lip sync video, how do I sign up? I wanna be famous!!! Alas, it's not that easy. I guess you have to be able to tweet basic things like 'you're beautiful' or 'you're my world' or 'if you see this tweet I want you' and I am not about to ruin my Twitter profile with thirsty Tweets like these. And they're 13 for crying out loud! I can't imagine being so young and having to deal with the pressure of being so well-known and liked.

In conclusion, I don't want to bash poor Jacob (at least not a lot), the kid is suffering enough with everyone else making fun of him, I just wanted to put my own thoughts on him out there. I honestly don't understand how all these kids are making money when there are people in the world with real talent that no one has found yet. (People like me (lol, just kidding)) That's all I got for now peeps, I hope you enjoyed my first article and check out my social medias, until next time!!
