Why do I paint?

I paint because I can become good. I can conquer and control. I can create. It means I don't have to write. It gives me power. It gives me self-confidence and esteem. It's like creating a child each time, it is a piece of you. I can take out my frustration. I can show people what I see. I can recreate things. I can make something beautiful because I can change it. It gives me a voice without words. It is one of the most valuable tools a person could have, to create, to be good at creating si what makes the world go around. I can have presence in a room and not really be there. I can be in several places at once whether it is my thoughts in my head and my feelings in my painting or literally where the idea that my painting represents me physically but I am not actually present.
