Sometimes I rush, I rush a lot. Trying to get somewhere, trying to do something, trying to complete this, trying to complete that, etc.

Rushing, rushing and rushing.

Someone once told me that when you are in a hurry, you forget many things.

Immediately I heard that a thought came to my mind, ‘I have been in a hurry too much’

Sometimes, whenever I’m overwhelmed with so many tasks, I get to rush and forget a lot of things. And this hasn’t always  been a very nice experience.

Why do I rush? Most times it’s because I didn’t start what I intended to start on time. Maybe I didn’t start my assignment in time, I didn’t leave home on time, I didn’t start the task in time, and so on.

And so, here are some tips on how to stop rushing:

  1. Start Early: start what you want to do early enough. Leave your house on time, etc.
  2. Pause: pause, reflect, catch your breath. Take it easy on yourself.
  3. Give yourself Breaks within Tasks: don’t forget to take breaks when you need to.
  4. Focus on one thing at a Time: try to focus on one thing at a time.
