So we tell others about Christ, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all the wisdom God has given us. We want to present them to God, perfect in their relationship to Christ. (‭Colossians‬ ‭1‬:‭28‬ NLT)
The word perfect means “mature or complete,” not “flawless.” Paul wanted to see each believer mature spiritually. Like Paul, we must work wholeheartedly like an athlete, but we should not strive in our own strength alone. We have the power of God’s Spirit working in us. We can learn and grow daily, motivated by love and not by fear or pride, knowing that God gives the energy to become mature.
Christ’s message is for everyone; so everywhere Paul and Timothy went, they brought the Good News to all who would listen. An effective presentation of the Good News includes warning and teaching. The warning is that without Christ, people are doomed to eternal separation from God. The teaching is that salvation is available through faith in Christ. As Christ works in you, tell others about him, warning and teaching them in love. Who do you know who needs to hear this message? (Tyndal Study Bible)
Yesterday I spoke about wisdom. I have made myself guilty of foolish speech, in the past. Yes, I do feel guilty about it. One's temper is a terrible thing; the devil works in cunning ways. So just like the commentator says  perfect means, "mature and complete" but not "flawless."
None of us is perfect.
This does not mean that we must not share the Good news off the Gospel. As believers, we are tasked to spread the Good News.  We can rely on strength and wisdom from God to spread the Gospel.
Just like the commentator says Jesus's message is for everyone, we are tasked to share it. We are to follow Paul and Timothy's example. We must not forget to share the consequences that if you don’t accept Jesus as you saviour, you have no eternal life.
I heard an interesting comment by Angus Buchanan that God does not use the good and talented but the willing to do his work. Last evening I was at a presentation on how to improve your Sale Skills. The presenter made the comment that he can't change individuals if they aren't willing to change. Again I say "God can only use the willing."
"Lord, I pray you make me willing to serve you and spread the Good News. In Jesus name. Amen."
