Here is part two of the center back edition of the World Football 100! Before you read this, why don't you go back and check out the first two parts of the series: Goalkeepers and Center Backs, Part 1.

8. Sergio Ramos, Real Madrid

Ramos is another extremely well rounded central defender: he is good in the air, he possesses good pace, he has fantastic technical ability, and years of experience. At 30 years of age, Sergio Ramos certainly still has a few quality years left in him, and I'm sure that Real Madrid would be more than happy to have him finish his career in Madrid.

9. Diego Godin, Atletico Madrid

Another 30 year old center back playing in Madrid, Diego Godin has made a name for himself at Atletico. Like Ramos, Godin has both aerial prowess and fantastic football IQ. Diego Godin's defensive capabilities make him Atletico Madrid and Uruguay's first choice center back.

10. Vincent Kompany, Manchester City

Vincent Kompany has been playing in the Premier League for nine years. Any defender who can sustain their career that long in the physical Premier League has accomplished an fantastic achievement. Kompany is one of the Premier League's best overall defenders; he excels in all physical, mental, and technical areas.

11. David Luis, Chelsea

David Luis is one of the most in form players in all of football right now. Luis has been absolutely dominating opposing forwards since returning to Chelsea this summer. The Brazilian has absolutely thrived in Antonio Conte's 3-4-3 system. David Luis' creativity, strength, and technical ability have all been put on display since returning to the Blues.

12. Chris Smalling, Manchester City

Chris Smalling, 26, is one of the younger players on this list, and also one of the most underrated. Smalling's rise to stardom is believed to have just started and for a man with as much athleticism and talent as Chris Smalling has, there is no telling how far he will be able to go. There can be no denying that one of the two center back spots at Manchester United has been locked up for the next 5-10 years.

13. Miranda, Inter Milan

The third Brazilian center back on the World Football 100, Miranda doesn't get near as much attention as his international teammates Thiago Silva and David Luis. Why? Because he plays for a smaller club. Inter Milan will likely never by the draw that French giants PSG or English juggernauts Chelsea are, but players like Miranda bring them a certain level of notoriety. Miranda is one of the top defensive players in all of football.

14. Raphaël Varane, Real Madrid

Real Madrid's third choice center back, Raphaël Varane has the potential to be the best of the three. Still only 23 years old, Varane's physicality and his tackling ability are far beyond his years. The age of Pepe and Sergio Ramos should see Varane into Madrid's starting lineup more consistently over the next few years.

15. Laurent Koscielny, Arsenal

Like with his French counterpart Raphaël Varane, Laurent Koscielny is one of the better physical defenders in football. Koscielny has been a star for Arsenal since joining the side in 2010 from French club Lorient. Koscielny is a huge part of this 2016 Premier League title hopeful Arsenal team.
