From Walt Disney Animation Studios comes a comedy-adventure set in the modern mammal metropolis of Zootopia. Determined to prove herself, Officer Judy Hopps, the first bunny on Zootopia’s police force, jumps at the chance to crack her first case – even if it means partnering with scam-artist fox Nick Wilde to solve the mystery. I am a huge fan of Disney movies, so I was excited to find  Zootopia available for rent last weekend on the iTunes store.

The story follows Judy Hopps, who dreams of becoming Zootopia’s first bunny cop. However, Judy faces her toughest challenge when she has to solve the case of a missing otter with the help of an unlikely friend who just happens to be a fox.

After watching this movie three times, I can officially say that I thought Zootopia was a joy to watch; it was witty and heartwarming, while tackling the issue of diversity and cultural prejudices in a way that will appeal to both children and adults. Although, I suspect that there are several jokes and references that younger audiences will not understand. Despite that minor detail, Zootopia is fun for the whole family, and I would not hesitate to recommend this film for a Friday movie night.

No matter what type of animal you are, change starts with you.
