An illustrator, fine artist and aspiring graphic novelist based in Leeds/Reading, UK.
A journey through the Elysian fields of artistic fantasy and imagination.
A Little Bit About Me
Born in Leeds and currently studying Art and English Literature at the University of Reading, I'm mainly a self taught artist who is constantly in the process of developing and disseminating her work and hopes to secure a position within the comic, film or game industry whilst continuing to work on her own illustrations, artworks and writings.
I'm a lover of all things Gothic, fantastical, mythological, geeky and everything else in between that meets my fancy! I have very eclectic tastes and enjoy engaging with any and all kinds of subjects and concepts and am exceptionally passionate about the causes and things I love.
Art, archery, comics, films and books are my first loves and I'm constantly looking for the next big adventure! More than anything art is my greatest passion and fills my every waking moment and am deeply invested in its position and value in the world.
So pop in for all things arty, exciting and passionate debates and musings.
About my Artwork
Rebecca Elise Smith, also known as ‘RebeccaElysium’ online, has been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember with my passion for art and imagination not dwindling over the years.
My art derives from the depths of imagination and my fascination and wonder at the world and the deep seated mythology at its core, shaping and constructing our ideals and visions before us often with a Gothic touch.
I'm also deeply influenced and interested in the film, game and comic industries and am as big a geek as the best of them! These are very much ingrained within my work as I explore the fantastical realms and stories that leave us in rapture.
Mainly a self taught artist who is constantly in the process of developing and disseminating her work and hopes to secure a position within the comic, film or game industry whilst continuing to work on her own illustrations and art projects.
