I'm Kayla, the sassy voice behind loveofpaleo.com
Cooking can be frustrating, and trying to be healthy can be frustrating. Generally, trying to get your shit together in your 20's and 30's is a hassle. The funniest thing for me, is when people start to tell me, "Well it's harder for me because (blank)." Honey, it's hard for everyone, we just internalize our emotions like adults... and then follow food bloggers like myself to get the information we need.
As you'll see in my posts, I was extremely unhealthy before I started paleo. Let me just clarify, I was never fat. You don't need to be fat to be unhealthy. I was 107lbs and rotting from the inside. I have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, I was misdiagnosed with hypoglycemia (that was the first thing that went away), really bad acne, I suffered from blatant ignorance of nutritional information and the inability to do an actual push-up. I don't place any value to the number on the scale but I'm now 127lbs of ripply abs and squat booty.
I talk/rant about paleo, whole30, weight training, yoga and the impending doom of wanting to try crossfit. I create my own recipes daily and only post the good ones. Tried and true!
Also, I am deeply an artist and am fully capable of handling any kind of criticism or advice. However, if you're sitting on the couch eating a block of cheese next to the treadmill that you now use as a coat hanger - I probably don't need your input about what I should actually be doing.
Ps: Every time you tell a fitness person that they need to eat a burger, a kitten dies.
Have a great day.
