Hi, I’m Iman Refaat. I am the author of Fabulous Veils, a novel displaying true stories from Egyptian women’s everyday life. In my novel, I highlight the various sorts of oppression, discrimination and gender inequality suffocating the Egyptian females till our date.
I started blogging in February 2016.
For years, I have had witnessed teens and young adults who lacked direction, motivation and confidence. Leading and transforming many of them through school projects, I finally decided to take an action on a larger platform, trying to expand my influence. My mission is to help people make paradigm shifts after examining their frames of reference, ensuring neither to refuse nor to accept old models unless they consider them from multiple angels. I also believe that every person holds within a world of miracles, yet only few succeed in unleashing their talents. I help people dig deeply in order to connect to themselves, their deepest values, shaping their own fate.
To that end, I write on self-help, proactivity, parenting, teenage, and relationships. On occasion, I write about stuff that doesn’t fit neatly into one of these categories.
My goal is to create genuine, inspiring content that you can put to work in your personal and professional life. If you are not 100% satisfied of your life and your relationships then consider my articles your refuge.

I am the Students Development Leader at GPIS Egypt (Green Land Pré Vert International Schools), the number one school offering the three programs of the IBO in English (International Baccalaureate Organization) in Egypt. I have worked in the field of education for all of my career.
I began as a teacher in Green Land Nursery. I worked for a total of six years. I started working with Middle School students in 2005 (11-16 years).
I was nominated as GPIS Community and Service Leader in 2007 after receiving the Blackburn Award for Best Community and Service Project in Africa and the Middle East, leading 79 students between 12 and 15 years.
I became in charge of the students development from August 2010.
I have also written my first novel Fabulous Veils which will be released later in 2016. It was a childhood dream that I didn’t dare to pursue till I turned forty.
I have been married to my husband, Hamed, for nearly twenty years. We have one son and one daughter, and a cocker spaniel. We're Egyptians and we live at Cairo, Egypt.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, biking, cycling, traveling, and photography.
