Reflection: 9/11 Memorial

There are certain places we travel to in this world that just make us take a step back and just think.September 11th, 2001 is a day that we will all remember where we were and what we were doing the moment those planes hit the twin towers, for me I was in primary school expecting to wake up and watch my normal morning tv cartoons.

In 2014 when I lived out a childhood dream of mine to travel to New York and see the city that never sleeps, visiting the memorial site really made me take a step back and reflect, even just walking two blocks away it really hits you the enormity and size of the area affected.

Walking around the twin tower waterfalls there were definitely a few tears shed and you can’t help but just sit and think, the memorial is just silent and you can’t help but reflect on how that day has affected everybody, especially the people in New York and even its skyline will never be the same.

If there’s been a location around the world that has affected you the same way be sure to comment and give the post a like.

I've always wanted to go to New York because I just can't envision such a horrible thing to happen. For me, it would be the Siege here in Sydney., because when I was in highschool I would always go to the City and walk past the Lindt Cafe where the siege happened and knowing now that a siege could actually happen where i live is very scary.

No one can be the same after visiting that memorial sites. Do you think the Bush administration had anything to do with it? It was hint at in the Micheal Moore documentary.
