This month I wanted to share with you all some of my favorite things! Enjoy!
Pure&Basic Fresh Fig Body Wash - $7
This is my favorite scent. It smells like green tea and figs. It's the perfect balance of sweetness and freshness. It has a light crisp scent and gentle foam that lathers when you use it. It's been in my favorites since December! It won't dry your skin out. It's paraben, sulfate, and gluten free, as well as not tested on animals. I found mine at Sprouts Farmers Market, but many other stores carry this line.
LUSH Breath Of Fresh Air Toner Water - Between $10-$20
I use this after my facial cleanser and before my moisturizer. I also use it before, during, and after applying make up for a fresh faced, non-cakey look. I've tried a few other toner waters from LUSH and this is by far my favorite! I bought this in store, but you can also order it online. The scent isn't too much, it's very light and refreshing.
Marc Jacobs Daisy - Between $25-$140
This is by far my favorite perfume I've ever used. It's one of those basic scents that you've probably smelled on many people, but it doesn't matter if it is basic! It's my favorite, and it has been for several years. It's a light sweet, fresh, floral scent that pairs perfectly with the Fresh Fig body wash. I bought my bottle(s) at Sephora, but can be found in multiple department stores and online.
TooFaced Better Than Sex Mascara - $23
Better Than Sex Mascara is definitely one of the best ones on the market, in my opinion. This is my fourth tube in fact. It holds a curl, volumes and lengthens the lashes. It's a very black formula also. And it doesn't leave back specks on your cheeks throughout the day or smudge! It comes in waterproof also (blue tube). I found mine at Sephora, you can find yours there or at Ulta. Also online.
Anastasia of Beverly Hills Brow Pomade & #12 Brush - $18 (for both)
I was always nervous to use a pomade since my brows aren't thin by any means. I was worried about using it and it causing my brows to look to "drawn on" and "unnatural". I finally bit the bullet and am so glad that I did! I've had it for about two weeks now have used it everyday. It doesn't cause my brows to look or feel stiff or cakey, it also doesn't make them look too drawn on. I've figured the best way to fill my brows in to look the most "natural". And it can stay on forever if you want it to. I avoided my brow area for two days when washing my face just to see how long it would last, and it lasted for the two days, it also lasted in the pool. I found mine at Sephora, you can get yours at Ulta or online at either store or on the Anastasia of Beverly Hills website.
Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Cream in Pearl - $38
I'm very pale so this is one of my favorite highlighters for days when I'm not using much make up. I highlight my skin to make it look dewy and glowy when I'm using only concealer, powders, brows, and mascara, a "light" day. After I mist my face with the toner water, this highlighter really stands out. It's the perfect creaminess, so it blends beautifully on the skin. Again, I found mine at Sephora. You can get yours there also! Or online.
Coty Airspun Loose Face Powder in Luminous Translucent - $7
This is my favorite powder highlighter that I've only just found within the last week or so. It's the most finely milled, non-chalky powder for the price that I've found. It gives a really natural glow and it's very build-able without looking cakey. With the pairing of the toner water, it really makes the face look refreshed and dewy. I found mine on Amazon, it can also be found at CVS and other drugstores.
Maybelline Mineral Powder Finishing Veil Translucent - $9
This is a really great powder for baking the face. It's also really great on days when only a luminous primer is used to take the shine down in the T-Zone. I've used it all month and have found that it's much easier to use without the sifter. It doesn't leave you looking or feeling cakey or heavy under the eyes, which is what I really like. I found mine at Walmart, you can find yours there or anywhere else Maybelline is sold. Online also!
Orange Is The New Black
The new season came out last month. I spent most of the end of last month and the beginning of this month being watching the show. I had watched all of the previous seasons, but as most people do, I wanted to get caught up before the new season. It was by far one of the best ones. If you want to see an overview of the show that I've written, check out my article on https://assets.assets.mytrendingstories.com/.
How I Met Your Mother
One of my favorite sitcoms! This is the second time I'm watching the show. I've seen every season but the last. So, this time around I'll be finishing the show. It's one of those shows that can make you genuinely laugh, cry some, and really love and relate to the characters, even when they get into crazy situations. I've been binge watching this ever since I finished OITNB and I'm so glad I decided to watch it again because it's made me love it all over again.
Thanks for checking out my July favorites! I hope this was entertaining for you to read. Come back next month for another monthly favorites post.
