Your tears create waterfalls,
And between each breath you take there lays
An empty, echoing canyon.
Roses grow from meadows on your wrists
And rivers of blood flow freely with
The storm that rages in the pit of your stomach.
Your heart is a dandelion, a beautiful weed;
So beautiful, yet so stubborn.
You are a hurricane,
A catastrophically magnificent force of nature
With strength unlike any other -
You could drown cities with your tears
And shake the Earth with the power of your voice.
Your naked body shines more brilliant than the moon herself,
And your eyes could illuminate the world if only you’d let them.
Please, let them.
