Galiano Island is a beautiful, hidden oasis on the Gulf Islands, a really quick trip and nearby weekend getaway spot. When travelling with BC Ferries, you can arrive on the Island within 50 minutes, and from there, you can walk up to the resort in about five. Our favorite thing about it, is that you can take a float plane over, and arrive in ten minutes, flat. They also have a beautiful, boating dock at the resort, that gets year-round use. No wonder this place is being called “Spectacular!”
The Resort underwent new ownership in 2000, and updates and changes implemented over the 16 year time frame, include a focus on the resort’s surroundings. The inclusion of a Rose Garden and plentiful berries attract additional visitors to the resort, with ambient sounds echoing singing birds and rushing water, luring hikers in to find the nearby waterfall. As a Multiple, Award Winning Resort, the Oceanfront Inn is a perfect spot to host a wedding, and welcome your guests to all that the Island has to offer.

Oceanfront Villa Suites
These are the “regular” suites; however, the term is an understatement. Villa Suites come complete with King Beds, dining and kitchen areas. Step outside your patio doors because you also get your own, private balcony or terrace, off your room. What a charming, beautiful way to enjoy all of the bountiful nature of the resort, when you haven’t even left your room yet!
Extras that come as a part of your booking in the Villa Suites are an outdoor grill, for barbecuing, and an in suite wine fridge, for sipping in sunshine on your private patio.
Oceanfront Spa Suites
Everything you get in the Villa Suites is available in the Spa Suites; however, you get some extra upgrades when you book the first-rate finest. Additions to the Spa Suites allow for guests to be treated to the ultimate in relaxation, with jetted, hot tubs, a fireplace, and our favorite, hidden luxury, a murphy-Spa-Bed – Surprise! An added, extra special touch, that is always a really nice gift with stay, are the very special lavamenities, provided to guests from the Resort Spa. They have blackberry currant soap and shampoo, just a few, extra details that make you feel like an exceptionally, valued guest.
If that’s not enough, you can also experience fine dining in the resort restaurant. The restaurant is known for hosting delicious options for breakfast, rather than a buffet style morning, that comes standard with most hotels. The menu is ever changing and Sunday night specials include Prix Fixe Menus with a Prime Rib Special and a Seafood and Vegetarian option, as well.
You will also love it here, by night, as they have plenty of options for drinks. They do really fun cocktails and they have quite a few options for scotch. We like the wine list at the Inn because it as unique as the setting that you will find yourself in. Pair a variety of Island wines with your dinners, once you’ve found your winners.
