However, that's only one part of the story.
Ever since I watched that episode, Indecent Proposal, on a Filipino TV show, MMK (Maalalaala Mo Kaya), my view about beauty queens and beauty pageants have since changed. It was always in the back of my mind that contestants of a beauty show slept with sponsors or judges to help them secure the crown. I was gobsmacked, when after watching the episode trailer, it's true! It happens. God, what else is new? Beauty contestants not only displaying their half-naked bodies for all the world to see, but also selling their dignity and reputation in exchange for a coveted crown.
I will never look at beauty queens the same way again.
