Switching to another device is always a bit problematic. A good example could be getting rid of your iPhone and going with either of the Android models. Or more recently, getting a MacBook because you are no longer satisfied with a regular laptop. This particular choice becomes an even bigger issue because using a MacBook is a bit different. It takes time before you are used to it. Nevertheless, if you decide to prepare beforehand, the whole process will be that much simpler. Planning to purchase a MacBook? Multiple Desktops

This particular application is one of the best available. You can make calculations, convert units, find out live currency rates (internet connection is required), and even check your flight information.

Taking Screenshots

To take a screenshot of the whole screen you need to press Command + Shift + 4. Meanwhile, to take a selection of the screen, you need to replace 4 with 3 in the aforementioned shortcut.

Icon Size

If you are not satisfied with the size of your icons, you can remedy this in a matter of minutes. Open Finder and hit Command + J. A window will pop-up, letting you increase or decrease the size of your icons.

Shut Off Widgets

When you are running too many widgets, the performance of the MacBook slows down exponentially. To solve the problem, pull up the widget layer and hold the option key. An x will appear near each widget, allowing you to turn them off one by one.

The great Apple female companion has been around for years now, but there are still new updates with each OS version. Now you can tell Siri to change settings such as the brightness of the screen. Moreover, if she has problems understanding you, edit the text in the voice command before going back. These edits will work as a reminder and Siri will not make the same mistake twice.

Windows OS

Even though this defeats the purpose of a MacBook, there are some instances when you want to have the Microsoft OS. This has become a possibility with the newest versions of Apple OS so if you are ever in need to make a switch, there should be more than enough information on the internet about it.

Sign PDFs

Digital signatures are an everyday thing now. Documents in digital formats should be signed in the same way, and MacBook users have such an opportunity. Open any PDF document via Preview app and click on the pen at the top right of your screen. For the first time, you will need to make a signature. However, for future documents, you can use the same one.
