In the Lords care

"The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever." (Isaiah 40:8)

Walking through the park today I came across these beauties. I look around me at the glory of God and am flabbergasted by the simplest of creations. I think of how God provides for the flowers in the fields and the birds in the air. I think about how God finely tuned our orbit around the sun, weather patterns, temperatures etc... So life in general can be sustained on this planet. Our lives are more important to God than these and yet we worry. We love our children more than anything else we own. Our home could burn down along with all of what we have and the first thing we will worry about is the safety of our children. We have the natural inclination to care for our children first, so why do we think differently of our Father.

God cares much more for us than any other life form, yet we see all that He does to sustain the life of a flower and worry about what He will do for us. If God will fine tune the universe to support life in general, we can rest assured knowing He will move the heavens and earth to provide for us.

"Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds!" (Luke 12:24)
