Some fifteen years ago, I received for my birthday a black tank top. My Swedish friend, Susan, bought it for me. this was my first acquaintance with the brand yet to be so famous- Acne Studios. At first sight, I remember looking at this top and thinking OK, nice top but nothing too special about it. It took me exactly 2 minutes once I wore it to realize I couldn’t be more wrong. The textile was so soft, and the deep cut in the front, made this top to be my winning “I have nothing to wear tonight, OK so I’ll wear the Acne tank again”. Really.
This is how my Scandi affair all started (thank you dear Suz), and it never ended ever since. Acne has become the most known Swedish fashion brand as more and more women (and men) fell for the laid-back, so cool Swedish brand. And acne is not alone..there are many more Scandi brands that are less famous: Stine Goya, Won Hundred, Hunkydory, Monki to name few.
