Albert Einstein once said: "Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that It is stupid."
I believe, sometimes, we just need to trust that things will work out and just go for the big jump out of the comfort zone...and see what happens! If you settle for your life, instead of choosing it, you'll never know how soon it will backfire on you. You'll wake up one day feeling it's all wasted. What will you do then? Will you ever come out of your shell? Will you be brave enough? Or will you just keep paying your bills till you die?
Do you think you lack the ability...to live? Why don't you give yourself a chance? Everybody has dreams and no dream is too big! You get the ideas in your mind for a reason, and the reason is to motivate you, help you grow! Which is, indeed, a hard task to complete - but it doesn't mean it's not worth trying. Furthermore, that means the exact opposite!
“Find what you love and let it kill you."
(Charles Bukowski)
A year ago, I would have never thought I'd be where I am, doing what I am doing today. I was happy then and I am happy now. I love my life - so it loves me back! I feel, I dare to dream big and go for it, bearing in mind, a fish may not climb trees well but can swim just like a shark...
Who are you to tell the goldfish they're too small to dream big? And what if it's the one from Pushkin's fairy tale and can make any wishes come true?
My golden rule is not to compare myself (or my life) to anybody else's nor to explain myself why I do things the way I do... Sometimes it's hard, sometimes it's easier but one thing is sure, it's worth it. Your life will always be the reflection of your choices - that you can change any time! Whether you fancy floating on the waves or swimming against the tide, it's entirely up to you, and no-one else's business.
"...but the fact is that when a man is out of his depth, whether he has fallen into a little swimming bath or into mid-ocean, he has to swim all the same." (Plato)
