Lost Without You is an emotional ride, picking up seven years after the fateful night of where The Debt left off. Never fear, if you didn't get a chance to pick up and read The Debt, the first part of Lost Without You contains this gripping story since it is vital to the continuation of the storyline.

Tommy is clearly a broken man, living day by day just waiting for when his debt will be cashed in. The torment of waiting has pretty much beaten him down in a way that living in St. Jokes never did. The only person Tommy has kept in contact with from his foster care days is Simon and even Simon is out of the country more often then not. So Tommy waits.

Until...

His debt is called and the task he's called upon never once crossed his mind. Theft, murder, drugs, he'd thought of everything that would most likely land him in jail. A place he feels he should have been all along, and had come to some sort of peace with it. However, when the job he takes lands him upon a ghost. Tommy knows deep down he may not be able to cash in that debt after all.

Beth doesn't remember much about the night seven years ago, but she will never forget Tommy coming to her rescue. Seven years pass without a word from any of her foster friends so Beth forges on like only Beth knows how to do. Fostering a new identity in Jada.

Once Jada wakes up in the back of a limo, realizing she's been kidnapped, she isn't happy at the savior sitting in the front seat. Tommy isn't picking her up for safe keeping, he has a debt to pay and unfortunately Jada/Beth is it.

Their reunion is ripe with emotion and turmoil, while shrouded with mystery over what Bates wants from the two of them.

The conclusion awaits in O'Keefe's next book, Where I Belong.

Very well written from both characters perspectives. I loved the gripping tale and can hardly wait to find out all the answers in the next book, Where I Belong.
