When the story first begins Dante Lamonte is in a bad mental state. Having recently lost his unborn child and best friend in a horrific accident he's in a deep depression and making bad choices regarding his life. His friend and publicist, Kate, invites him down for the holidays hoping that spending time with people he knows will lighten his dark mood. What he didn't expect was to run into the one person who was the perfect shining beacon to all the darkness in his messed up life.

Becca Hernandez is a busy media consultant for the Las Vegas hockey team, the Sidewinders. Her job keeps her pretty busy, so busy in fact that she never finds time to date. She had one night out, a few months ago where she met the perfect man, well he was almost perfect, he just wasn't exactly available. If she'd only met Dante at a different time in both their lives. When her friend Kate invites her over for a party it seemed their timing may have finally lined up, but where they ready for such a big commitment to each other. When did life become so complicated?

Becca and Dante have fantastic chemistry when it comes to playing between the sheets, but when trouble brews outside the bedroom is their love strong enough to survive all odds or will they incinerate each other with the passion they share for one another.

This is book one in the Inferno series, yet as I began reading it became clear that it is closely tied to Kat's Sidewinder series. There were times I was a bit lost in the backstory since I haven't read the other series, but overall I was able to catch up to the main plot and move forward. It is a very steamy, sexy read and it won't leave you wanting in the bedroom scenes.
