The Author

Jackie Mize was told by doctors that she cannot have children but her fiancé; Terry Mize replied her, “Oh I see. Well, God said you can have babies.” They got married in 1969 and have two boys and two girls.

The Book

Supernatural Childbirth is a parenting/charismatic 127-page book first published in 1993. The book gives answers to questions such as:

-Where do you start?

-What does God say?

-How does it work?

-What should I say?

-Can I be a joyful mother of children?

The author projected that going into labour shouldn’t be painful or complicated as the world speaks of it -family, friends, relatives, co-workers and neighbours- stating that Fear is the major threat to women at childbirth. Jackie opined that God is never interested in the location where a woman delivers her baby -home, birthing centre or hospital- or who delivers the baby. God is only interested in the confidence and faith the couple, especially the mother to be have in His word. In furtherance, she admits that irrespective of the confidence and faith in God, childbirth should be in a hospital environment.
Jackie wrote:

“I thank God that we learned that even if you cannot out think the devil, you can out talk him by saying what God says.” (Page 28)
“It was amazing to the doctors and nurses. I did not have to go into the labour room and tell them all what God was going to do. I went in there and did it. They saw a difference and wanted to know why. Then I shared with them and they listened.” (Page 45)
The book is a good read, a source of encouragement, hope and faith enhancement. A must read for every couple, grannies and teachers of God’s word.
