Road to Fitness - 2017

Road to Fitness - 2017

Over the past two years, I went through the cycle of losing and gaining and losing and gaining weight. I wasn’t eating healthy and most of the time I didn’t get enough sleep. I didn’t have an exercise routine. There were days, rare days, when I felt motivated to go to the gym, or even register to runs and marathons. But really, I wasn’t living a healthy life. By the end of 2015, I lost almost 15 lbs. Which was good if I was trying to lose weight. But I didn’t look healthy. Every time I looked at myself in the mirror, all I saw was a malnourished girl staring right back at me. And then by mid of 2016, I gained more than what I lost during the previous year. I was at the borderline of being overweight, that was according to my doctor. So I promised myself that I would start with my proper diet. But who was I kidding? I lacked motivation back then. I thought to myself who was she to tell me what I do with my own body. In short, I didn’t listen to my doctor. I didn’t change my lifestyle.

And then all the miseries followed, which made me think that 2016 was one of the worst years of my life. Good thing before the year ended, I was able to pick some of my shattered pieces up. The motivation to be better, to do better, was there. I was looking forward to 2017. I made plans for myself. Including health challenges. And just today, my college sister and I came up with a yearlong health challenges.

She’s planning on taking videos of the procedures and maybe the progress. I, on the other hand, am planning to document the procedures and progress through this blog.

Aside from that, last Monday I started with a 30-day bedtime workout which I got from Pinterest.

I hope I can commit to this until the end of year. Wish me luck.

Feel free to join me on this journey! 🙂
