"He who is unable to live in society, or who has no need, because he is sufficient for himself, must be either a beast or a God." ~ Aristotle.
We cannot exist in isolation. We need relationships, companionship, interaction and connection.
It can be very hard to feel connected.
We all need time out; alone for reflection, consideration and to recharge.
We need to be connected too.
Sometimes we feel isolated and alone in a group. Like no one understands what it is really going on inside you.
It can be hard to reach out.
We all need each other.
Reach out to a friend, a stranger; it does not matter. You may not feel like you need to; but perhaps they need you.
Say hello to someone on the street, offer to help a friend, call a relative, pay for someone's coffee. Email or text someone you have not seen in awhile, ask how they are. Make a call. Switch off your device while you have dinner with your family.
Reconnect.
It doesn't matter how. You are not alone. We are part of something bigger.
