With the holidays right around the corner (can you believe it!?), I am going through lists of things to buy, places to decorate, and clothes to wear. This is easily my favorite time of year, and if you aren't signed up to follow the blog (you should!) because I will be sharing my holiday decorating, style, baking and all things gifts to hopefully bring you some holiday inspiration!

I love red. I never realized how much till I looked through my closet recently and saw it filled with red shirts, bags, flats and these lovely boots. I could probably do a whole post on all my favorite red articles of clothing...hmmm......

I mentioned these boots a few times on the blog, but I figured they were due their own post.

Chris and I were headed to New Hampshire for a Halloween party (I was a cartoon called Sailor Moon), when I realized I had no footwear to go with the costume! So...what's a girl to do...EXCEPT...run to her nearest DSW! I snagged these Candy Apple Red Impo Ohara Boots with every intention of returning them the following day.

Attempting my best Sailor Moon pose 😉 Nailed it right!?

Needless to say, by the next day I was ready to live in them. The 3 1/2″ covered block heel provides stability and support allowing you to take these babies from work to night, and still be able to wear a killer pair of heels the next day.

I finally built up the courage to wear them to work with my Alfani Skinny Pants paired with a white Old Navy Tank, Lilly Pulitzer Murfee Jacquard Scarf, and Merino Wool Max Studio Sweater that I snagged from TJ Maxx. The pants are a few years old but you can find similar pairs at Macys! The feminine ruffle down the side of the boot provides an added sass to the outfit.

I also wore the boots recently for a date night with my boyfriend and some friends. This time pairing them with white (who says not allowed after labor day?) Rock and Republic Jeans, a black Express Front Zip Tank under a old Elle Stripped Blazer. I also brought along my favorite red leather Melie Bianco Bag.

Quick Note on Melie Bianco: These bags are made with cruelty free vegan leather so not only are they super stylish, but also ethical!

What are some of your favorite holiday styles?
