Homemade Starbucks Frappuccino

Homemade Starbucks Frappuccino

A few weeks ago I shared about how I made a going away basket for some friends moving away (read about it here). I quickly shared my recipe for homemade Starbucks Frappuccino but have been asked to share a little more detail on how to make your own.

The recipe is extremely simple. I have made this recipe so many times that I don't even use measuring cups anymore.

Homemade Starbucks Frappuccino:

Pour 1/2 cup of espresso* into a pitcher. (I like to use a pitcher with a lid so I can just shake the mixture instead of dirtying another dish.)

*If you do not have an espresso machine, ( I'm sorry, they are awesome) you will need to make extremely strong coffee. Preferably in a french press but a drip coffee pot will also work. If you are using a french press just measure out your regular amount of coarsely ground coffee but only put about a cup of hot water in the french press. If you are using a drip coffee pot, measure out your normal amount of coffee, let it run until you have about a cup, stop the pot, pour the coffee you made back into the coffee pot and let it run again. The goal is to get the strongest coffee you can.

Add 1/2 cup white sugar - Stir until sugar is mostly dissolved (or shake, if you have a lid)

Add 1 Tsp. Vanilla - Stir

Add 4 cups Milk - Stir

Place it in the refrigerator and you are done! I personally add a little more coffee to mine because the mix is a little bit too sweet for me. You can add flavors, caramel or chocolate sauce, or my favorite, some whipped cream on top! You can pour the coffee into clean Starbucks jars for easy grab or just it keep in your pitcher and pour yourself a glass!

This recipe is so easy to follow and will save you tons of money!

Hope you love it!
