The beauty sector is one of the most dynamic industries in the modern world. It changes constantly and innovation occurs a vertiginous velocity. Tendencies change, techniques evolve and procedures cost shifts rapidly. One of the most innovative procedures for weight loss involves slimming machines and weight loss machines. The laser Lipo and CoolSculpting machines entry to the industry occurred only a few years ago, and have gathered a tremendously impressive share of the market and continue to earn people, putting their trust and their bodies expectations to these technologies.

Laser liposuction or commonly known as smartlipo and coollipo. These body slimming machines aim to develop a technology capable of shifting yesterday, today and possible future trends in plastic surgery. The main idea is to be able to tighten skin, without leaving the unwanted scars from actually cutting tissue, while at the same time performing safe, reliable and lasting procedures. Laser liposuction is a procedure that uses a laser to melt fat under the skin, while cool sculpting uses a cooling applicator to freeze the fat beneath the skin.

One of the most revolutionary trends of these techniques is the relatively low downtime. Laser liposuction only requires a few days of downtime while CoolSculpting does not require any downtime, as patients are able to return to their normal activities the same day. Costs for both procedures vary from 2,000 to 4,500 American dollars and have shown to be effective. Yet, it is required to maintain a healthy diet, and lifestyle in order to have permanent results. Also, it is important to consider that the period of time for actually seeing the result vary from patient to patient, it is estimated to be almost immediate for laser and up to two months for CoolSculpting. But in some cases, both techniques are combined to maximize the results.

The technique is especially effective when removing fat from specific zones of the body such as the stomach, arms, thighs, flanks, and chin. CoolSculpting is mostly recommended with patients of a healthy weight who have stubborn pockets of fat that aren’t affected by exercise or regular diets. The procedure is noninvasive, but it must be authorized by medical specialists as the risks and side effect are practically the same as traditional liposuction.

Both procedures are simple,  local anaesthesia is applied to the patient, and the liposuction is performed in the doctor’s office. Then, small incisions are made to insert the laser under the skin, liquefying the fat, for a later suction with a cannula.

On the other hand, CoolSculpting is applied without anaesthesia, and it feels very cold in the first stages of treatment, a sensation that will disappear as the area gets numb. Then, the frozen fat cells die and the body absorbs them again. This process is the main responsible in the delay time from the moment of the treatment to the results.

Yet, it is important to always visit the doctor before deciding to perform one of these procedures in our bodies.
