Vegan Makeup Collection: Too Faced

Vegan Makeup Collection: Too Faced

So recently I have been going mad buying Too Faced products. Soon I'm pretty sure I will own every single vegan Too Faced product there is out there {which is not exactly a bad thing.....}.  If you don't already know, Too Faced is a cruelty free company which offer loadsssss of vegan products. So I thought I would share all the Too Faced products I own and a mini review to go with them.

Too Faced Hangover Primer

This primer is just absolutely perfect. Especially if you have dry skin as it is soooo moisturising. The primer claims to cure your 'beauty hangover' whatever that may be, whilst also giving you some added skincare benefits. Sounds very adventurous to me, BUT, it does actually work! Whenever I wear it my foundation my makeup goes on smoother and it completely hydrates my skin. Whilst it doesn't deliver on those skincare benefits, it is a brilliant primer. Maybe even the best primer I have ever used?!?! { a v bold statement}. But I would definitely recommend this product!

Too Faced Matte Eye's Eyeshadow Palette

Unfortunately, this has been discontinued. I have a love/ hate relationship with this palette. Whilst I don't really wear a lot of matte eyeshadows, I purchased this as it was the only Too Faced eyeshadow palette which was vegan. I love that the colours are very pigmented and don't go powdery and icky when applying. Plus it comes with nine colours {yey}.The palette also comes with these cute little cards, which give you ideas on what colours to apply together for a Day, night and neutral look. I think that is a lovely touch.
There are a few moans though {here we go...}. The matte colours can be VERY difficult to blend, compared to some other matte colours I have tried. This can be quite an issue, even with the denser blending brushes I own it is difficult to blend them. This is very clear with the darker shades in the palette. But from reading reviews on other Too Faced Matte eyeshadows, this is a common problem amongst most matte products they produce.

So you can see why I have this Love/ Hate relationship, I love the colours and the pigmentation. But it just doesn't blend well {which is a nightmare}.

Too Faced Melted Liquidfied Lipsticks

Okay, so these are the products of Too Faced which have disappointed me the most. I have read tons of reviews saying they were great, but they just didn't do anything they claimed to and just weren't that good {sorry too faced}. I own three shades, two from the chocolate collection and one from the melted.

Whilst they smell absolutely DIVINE {especially the chocolate collection}, and the package is sooo cute. They just didn't last. This was sooo disappointing, as when you pay 19 pounds for something, you expect it to last longer than a small trip to the library.

The product is very buildable and whilst it is nice to have a product which is this buildable, I just didn't like it in this case. The product often came out streaky when I tried to create an even colour. I found putting less created a more even colour on the lips, but it just wasn't as bold as I would of liked.

Finally, it is a NIGHTMARE to apply, it claims to be 'precise'. NAH. The first time I tried it, it was all around my mouth like a little child. This is probably due to my own human ineptness, but maybe also due to the weird applicator.

One good note is that they do feel nice on the lips {maybe the weird applicator isn't so bad?!?}, and the pigmentation is gorgeous. But they just didn't last, maybe I will feel this with other liquid lipsticks since I am a newbie to this trend. But for the money you pay the product just isn't worth it.

Better than Sex Mascara

THE HOLY GRAIL OF ALL MASCARA'S. Do I really need to say anything about this? It's amazing go buy it. {great review madeleine, 10/10}

Too Faced Flushed Blush

I have this shade in Candy Glow. I thought this shade was vegan, as on the website says all shades are vegan, but Logical Harmony list says differently, so I have emailed too faced to clarify this {If you know pls comment below so I can clear my conscience} . But I will write a small review of this anyway despite my mistake.

I love this blush. I don't wear a huge amount of blush {as I am naturally quite ~rosy~}  But I love this shade, it is a lovely peachy coral colour. It comes out so subtly and is perfect for my fair skin. To use it, I just mix my blush brush around with all the colours and this gives a lovely shimmery, glow to my cheeks. It is universally the perfect coral colour to own in your collection and one which would look great on any skin tone! Plus once again Too Faced get a 10/10 on the packaging.

So there you have it, my Too Faced product collection. Overall, most of the products I have brought from Too Faced I have loved. You are not going to love everything from one brand, but I hope this gives some of you guys a little taster of what Too Faced have to offer. I am eyeing up a few more of Too Faced products, particularly the Cocoa Contour Kit and the La Creme Lipsticks.

You can buy almost all Too Faced products in the UK from here:

Some Too Faced products are really good, but the melted lipsticks I just didn't find that impressive. They were too pricey for the quality you get! If you are looking for some good liquid lipsticks on a budget, I would recommend Colourpop or Milani liquid lipsticks! Maddie xo

I've wanted to try some of their products for a while now, but I never manage to justify it in my budget! Like you, I had my eye on the Melted Liquid lipsticks, but when I swatched it in the shop I was pretty disappointed.
