I bought these high-top Converse about two years ago, and I haven't worn them much. I bought them for a Halloween costume thinking that I would wear them regularly. Turns out yellow shoes can be difficult to style. However, when I put together my outfit on this particular morning, they caught my eye and I just knew that they would be the perfect shoes to round out the look.

We were driving around Minneapolis exploring different parks. We were following Google Maps, and the app seems to lead us to places that aren't really the most convenient. However in this instance it allowed us to find this staircase. The steps are crumbling, and they lead up to a narrow path that opens up to a field with a playground. On the way back to the car after wearing out our toddler, I knew I wanted to stop and get pictures of my outfit so I could share them with you.
So far I'm really enjoying Minneapolis. I'm starting to learn my way around the city, we're meeting new people, and so far the weather has been very pleasant. I know it's not going to stay that way, but we're trying to enjoy the outside before the bitter cold confines us to inside spaces.
I'm glad I pulled these shoes out of my closet today. Is there something you own that you haven't worn in awhile? Why don't you pull it out and give it a try?
