How Do We Cut Off Our Flesh?

Part 1

Proverbs 25:28 KJV

28 He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.
Genesis 4: 7
7 If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.

The more Truth you reveal, the bigger threat you are to the enemy. The closer you get to exposing the enemy, the greater the danger will be that you encounter. One day, you will find the enemy at your doorstep, still believing that he can silence and control God. The enemy believes that he knows better than God. He continues to convince those who are of the world that they too, know better than God. Our best defense is to cut off our flesh.  -But how do we cut off our flesh?

Those who are observing me are now witness to how God works within me. They see how the story develops and is built upon my life's experiences and those around me within and throughout the world. No, it is no accident that you are here. God wanted you to witness this and see how He uses me to bring forth His Word and bring Truth to those I encounter. This is the work of a prophet to root out sin and bring forth Truth, returning the hearts of the people to God. Now, your eyes are witness to the power and manifestation of God within His people. You have seen how He can make His prophet a tool and a weapon to bring about His Will and His Way. You have seen how His prophet must stand against evil and not lean upon their own understanding, but stay anchored, trusting God to fight the battle. You have witnessed how He uses His own to change those around them. -Change that only God can cause to happen.

Now, that you have seen, you see that the results of your experiment can only be measured in people. No instrument, test, or data can measure the extent of change or the power and effect, for the change is an indelible mark that will last, an unforgettable experience that will forever effect those touched by God's power. It is not something I could have planned, for we cannot fully know the thoughts of another, or predict their behaviors. Only God knows and can relay vital information to His vessels, when needed. Only God knows the day and the timing, and how to use the information to bring glory to His Kingdom. Only God knows how to take what was meant for evil and turn it into good. However, this does not prevent the world from continuing to believe that it knows better than God. It does not prevent the world from not understanding and from fearing and wanting to control that which it cannot understand.

Yes, too often man believes he knows better than God. He builds for himself and his future leaning upon his own understanding and desires. So, it was when men began building the Tower of Babel (Genesis 11:1-9), trying to reach Heaven, trying to bring all men together and unite man with God, as if they were Holy, Righteous, and equal to God.

Too often, man believes he knows better than God. God said that there is One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all (Ephesians 4:5,6 KJV). However, instead of believing God, man decides to build his own churches, denominations, sects, etc., under man's doctrine, ideology, laws, and man's own truth.

Man cannot see that he is being used by Satan to mimic GodMan cannot see that he is being used by Satan to divide the people and separate them from God. Man cannot see that he has made himself God and become an idol, worshipping himself. Then, evil sets up house within the walls of his institutions, governments, churches and places of worship. Yet, when man is made aware of the presence of evil, he decides that it is better to protect the image, traditions, and false doctrine of the manmade institutions, establishments, and churches instead of taking care of the people and God's sheep. The people are misled. The people are set up to starve and be devoured by darkness, by being cut off from the food needed for their survival, that is, Truth, which is the Word of God.

Cut off from Truth, the people hunger and thirst for life.  It is then that it is discovered that the image of man's institutions, establishments, and church does not depict or function like the Hand or Character of God, showing no preference and having unconditional love for all. It is then that it is discovered that man is presenting himself to hold up and worship for want of status, lust, wealth, and satisfaction of his ego. It is then that the people wrapped up in false worship must face what they were truly seeking and realize that it was not God. We see this so clearly in those who call themselves Believers, seeking God's Will and Way, choose the world to represent them and give them identity. They would rather worship a political party or politician, lies, and conspiracies, than worship, trust and obey God.

This false image of God's people, this false image of Christ's Church is what the enemy and the world want people to see.  It is the result of the Two-edged Sword, The Word of God and with it the sheep shall be divided from the wolves in sheep's clothing. So, what is the difference between Satan dividing the people and God separating the people? What is the reward? Which brings forth fruitfulness and increase within God's Kingdom? Which leads to destruction, and which leads to abundance and everlasting life? Which is designed to steal, kill, and destroy, taking from the people without giving back and destroying that which they have with no remorse or intent to compensate?

True worship brings about true change within the soul, with it, Truth shall forever reign over men, because God is looking for True Worshippers.  The problem is that people still think that they can have it both ways, or in other words, have their cake and eat it, too. People like the idea of God and Jesus making them good. Many want to see the return of Jesus. However, when Jesus returns, so many people are so invested in themselves and their idea of religion and faith, that because of their adherence to false doctrine, tradition, status, and protocol, they will expect Jesus to reserve a speaking engagement at their particular denomination, because theirs is the true religion and the right way to worship God. Does it matter how or if we worship in Spirit and in Truth, or are people just confused because they want to include the flesh, which is still attached to the world?

John 4:23,24 KJV
23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Can you finish this sentence, using yourself as the subject? When I am in the spirit, I am _____?

There are many things we could be doing when we are in the spirit. However, we must remember that when we are in the spirit, we are in communion with God. Within our heart must be His Truth. Too often, worship is not focused upon communion with God, therefore, fellowship during worship becomes self-centered and worldly.

The strategy of the enemy is to cut off our communion with God and one another. You've heard it before, divide and conquer. The enemy believes that he can cut off our communication with God and one of the strategies he uses to accomplish this is to turn us against one another. He will even use the smallest thing to inflict conflict and strife. He knows which individuals to target to accomplish his goals. He will seek those of little or no faith, those who are weak to lack of sleep, patience, love, attention, status, finances, etc. The Adversary will find the weakest link and use them to stir up strife. He will convince them that they are in control, because he knows that they are filled with pain and pride. The weakest link could be someone very close to us, such as Judas was close to Christ Jesus. They are invested within themselves due to their weakness and will seek and choose worldly gain, despite their mission and having access to The Truth, The Way, and The Life.

The enemy knows that if the emphasis is not on communing with God, then, other things take its place. This is where we often confuse true worship with how good the music is, how well the choir sang, how well the preacher preached, and how much shouting, dancing, and speaking in tongues took place.  These are often used by the adversary as distractions to keep us from true worship.

To commune with God is to be in His Light, whereas those within His Light have true fellowship with one another. We aren't divided, scattered, and isolated to be devoured by wolves. We realize that by hurting others, we hurt ourselves. To be in God's Light is to be attached to The Vine to know The Truth, The Way, and The Light, in other words, we follow Yeshua, Christ Jesus, doing what the Father shows us to please Him. Those who do not walk in the Light are amongst those being used by the Adversary to create volatile situations, believing they are in control, then react cowardly, blaming their victims when they are faced with the fact that they have no control. Their reaction is to protect themselves and cover their tracks, to lie, destroy, and harm others to save themselves. They cannot see how they could have avoided their mistakes, because their pride stands in the way. Pride brings along many other vices with it, such as fear, and some would rather perish then face their fears and pride, even many of those who call themselves Believers. Why? -Because many don't believe all of God's Word pertains to them.

So, you think you are a true Believer, tried and true. Have you ever thought about which parts of The Bible, Scripture, Word of God, Torah, Quran, etc. don't pertain to you? How about the Ten Commandments? Do all the Commandments pertain to you right now, at this time in your life? Yes? No? Perhaps, you want to worship God in Spirit and in Truth, you try to worship God, but your flesh just keeps getting in the way. How do we cut off our flesh?

When man begins to worship himself and becomes absorbed in a feel-good, immediate satisfaction type of religion, he must maintain certain thought patterns about himself. He must begin to see himself as more important than that which he pretends to worship. Hence, the law of God is good to hear about, but does not necessarily pertain to oneself, or it may not even be known because one hasn't taken the time to learn or understand it. -And then, it might be hidden from you because of a heart that loves self and the world more than God, therefore, you simply do not have ears to hear.

What version of God's Word are you reading, believing, and living by? Is there a version that goes, in the beginning God created man and later on created some special people for whom His Word does not apply or pertain to? Is there a version that says that after the flood, God told Noah and his family to be fruitful and multiply, but their children and descendants have a choice whether or not they want to be fruitful or multiply? Is there a version which states that what God told Cain was meant just for him and the rest of us neither have the ability to rule over our feelings, nor the power to rebuke and resist Satan? Is there a version of scripture that states that we may override, ignore, or reject God's laws and principles when they are in conflict to how we feel about who we are and how we should live? Even when we feel persuaded to behave and see ourselves in a certain way because we feel we were born different from the way that God has created us, is there scripture that states that we are powerless to overcome those feelings and our own understanding of who we were meant to be? Is there a version that says that God has no power over the DNA that He created?

Tell me, which parts of God's Word don't pertain to you? Are you so special or so Holy and Righteous that you are above sinning, or do you believe that God has created an exception for all those who feel or think a certain way? Again, has God created exceptions for all those who feel or think a certain way, leaning upon their own understanding? Is there a version whereas God intends to let EVERYONE into Heaven? Are you among those who believe that the Truth can be abridged, edited, revised, or omitted? If, so, then, man is more powerful than God!

There are many distractions to keep us in doubt and keep us from believing God. Many have read the books of the Bible and find it hard, if not impossible to believe. However, what is in the heart of the reader or the unbeliever to begin with? What do they want to hear or not hear? Are you amongst those who say that we must not take Scripture literally? Scripture such as...

Matthew 5:30 KJV

30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell

If we have accepted Jesus into our lives, if we have been Born Again, is it necessary to cut off a hand or limb every time it offends us? That is, every time we become weak or tempted and fall into sin. Is it the hand that has sinned? Who was Jesus speaking to? Why did He speak that way? Do you have ears to hear? Does it pertain to you? Does it cover ALL sin, even those of lusts and sexual identity whereas the flesh is weak? If so, how do we cut off our flesh to save the rest of the body?

If God did it then it is His law. It doesn't need to be written down and co-signed. Neither does it need to be debated, updated, or amended. We must learn to say no to the world and its ways, overrule our feelings, resist the devil, and obey God.

Genesis 1: 26-31

26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.

31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

How do we cut off our flesh? If we are to cut off our flesh, that is to say, DIE TO OUR SELF, we must know what is crucial to our survival. We must know what a human made by the hands of God needs to stay alive and thrive. -And, we must know that we cannot decide ourselves what is crucial to our survival, just because we feel a certain way, meaning we feel wiser and superior to God in deciding who and what we are. God's Word is crucial to our survival. If we try to change His Word to what we believe is right, then, we will starve ourselves of what we need and surely perish. Jesus said it in:

Matthew 4:4
But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

We must stay connected to The Word of God. When we are in communion with God, attached to The Vine, we are able to be Fruitful and bear Good Fruit. Jesus is able to keep us from sin, cutting off the old man who would lead us back into darkness. We cut off our flesh, by humbling ourselves, surrendering our will, connecting to The Vine, and drinking from the Fountain of Life, Christ Jesus.

Are there things incorporated into your worship and worship services to starve you and keep you from feeding off of God's Word? -To keep you from LIVING God's Word? -To keep you from communing with God? -To keep you from bearing Good Fruit, and to distract you from True Worship? Can music lead everyone into true worship? Is true worship a temporary state of being created by man? Must one choose to enter into True Worship?

Can those who have embraced lies and use lies to further their agenda enter into true worship? Can those who have chosen to cling to the world, living the lifestyles of the world enter into True Worship? Please do not mistake one's circumstances and situations with one's ability to be loved by God, redeemed, and saved by His Grace and Mercy. However, remember that God is the judge of man and has the final word. He still loves them.

Father, please protect me from those who do not want to change and lack unconditional love within their hearts. Protect me from those whose eyes are filled with criticism and scorn. Protect me from hearts filled with jealousy and malice. Father, keep me from the evil that surrounds me trying to wear me down.

Uphold me, Father for Thy namesake. Cleanse my heart and purge me of unclean thoughts. Hold my head up and let me not be downcast and disheartened. Let not the enemy boast of victory and stand puffed up against Thy servant.

Feed me, oh Lord, Thy Word. Arm me with Thy armor. Fill me with Thy Righteousness. My soul cries out, how long must I be scorned by those who cannot see clearly, who have been blinded to Truth by their hands, eyes, and hearts which still cling to the world.

Father, I pray for those who torment me for the sake of gain within the world and the satisfaction of their pride. Have mercy upon them. Let your grace and mercy shine upon them and may enlightenment be theirs to draw them closer to you.

All power, glory and honor belong to you, Father. Let us not be usurpers of Thy power judging one another by our own understanding and darkness within our hearts. Forgive us, Oh Lord.

May we not forget to treat our brothers and sisters as we would want to be treated. May we not forget to love others as we love ourselves.

Fix our eyes upon Heavenly things and plant our feet upon solid ground. Father, I thank you for another day and another chance. Help us to use it wisely not finding fault in one another, but, lifting one another up for the glorification of our God.

Jesus, Savior, pilot me. Guide us all in your footsteps to be Fruitful and pleasing to our Father. This I pray in your name. Amen. Amen. Glory to God.

your servant and soldier by the Grace and Mercy of God

Genesis 4 King James Version

4 And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the Lord.

2 And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.

3 And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the Lord.

4 And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering:

5 But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.

6 And the Lord said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?

7 If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.

8 And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.

9 And the Lord said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper?

10 And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.

11 And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand;

12 When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth.

13 And Cain said unto the Lord, My punishment is greater than I can bear.

14 Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me.

15 And the Lord said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the Lord set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.

16 And Cain went out from the presence of the Lord, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.

17 And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch.

18 And unto Enoch was born Irad: and Irad begat Mehujael: and Mehujael begat Methusael: and Methusael begat Lamech.

19 And Lamech took unto him two wives: the name of the one was Adah, and the name of the other Zillah.

20 And Adah bare Jabal: he was the father of such as dwell in tents, and of such as have cattle.

21 And his brother's name was Jubal: he was the father of all such as handle the harp and organ.

22 And Zillah, she also bare Tubalcain, an instructer of every artificer in brass and iron: and the sister of Tubalcain was Naamah.

23 And Lamech said unto his wives, Adah and Zillah, Hear my voice; ye wives of Lamech, hearken unto my speech: for I have slain a man to my wounding, and a young man to my hurt.

24 If Cain shall be avenged sevenfold, truly Lamech seventy and sevenfold.

25 And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew.

26 And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the Lord.

Proverbs 25 King James Version

25 These are also proverbs of Solomon, which the men of Hezekiah king of Judah copied out.

2 It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.

3 The heaven for height, and the earth for depth, and the heart of kings is unsearchable.

4 Take away the dross from the silver, and there shall come forth a vessel for the finer.

5 Take away the wicked from before the king, and his throne shall be established in righteousness.

6 Put not forth thyself in the presence of the king, and stand not in the place of great men:

7 For better it is that it be said unto thee, Come up hither; than that thou shouldest be put lower in the presence of the prince whom thine eyes have seen.

8 Go not forth hastily to strive, lest thou know not what to do in the end thereof, when thy neighbour hath put thee to shame.

9 Debate thy cause with thy neighbour himself; and discover not a secret to another:

10 Lest he that heareth it put thee to shame, and thine infamy turn not away.

11 A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver.

12 As an earring of gold, and an ornament of fine gold, so is a wise reprover upon an obedient ear.

13 As the cold of snow in the time of harvest, so is a faithful messenger to them that send him: for he refresheth the soul of his masters.

14 Whoso boasteth himself of a false gift is like clouds and wind without rain.

15 By long forbearing is a prince persuaded, and a soft tongue breaketh the bone.

16 Hast thou found honey? eat so much as is sufficient for thee, lest thou be filled therewith, and vomit it.

17 Withdraw thy foot from thy neighbour's house; lest he be weary of thee, and so hate thee.

18 A man that beareth false witness against his neighbour is a maul, and a sword, and a sharp arrow.

19 Confidence in an unfaithful man in time of trouble is like a broken tooth, and a foot out of joint.

20 As he that taketh away a garment in cold weather, and as vinegar upon nitre, so is he that singeth songs to an heavy heart.

21 If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink:

22 For thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and the Lord shall reward thee.

23 The north wind driveth away rain: so doth an angry countenance a backbiting tongue.

24 It is better to dwell in the corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman and in a wide house.

25 As cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country.

26 A righteous man falling down before the wicked is as a troubled fountain, and a corrupt spring.

27 It is not good to eat much honey: so for men to search their own glory is not glory.

28 He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.

Ephesians 4:5-13 King James Version

5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

9 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?

10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)

11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

Matthew 4 (KJV)

4 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.

2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.

3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.

4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

5 Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,

6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;

9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.

10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

11 Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

12 Now when Jesus had heard that John was cast into prison, he departed into Galilee;

13 And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim:

14 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,

15 The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles;

16 The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.

17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

18 And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.

19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.

20 And they straightway left their nets, and followed him.

21 And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them.

22 And they immediately left the ship and their father, and followed him.

23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

24 And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.

25 And there followed him great multitudes of people from Galilee, and from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judaea, and from beyond Jordan.

John 4:23-30 King James Version

23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.

26 Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.

27 And upon this came his disciples, and marvelled that he talked with the woman: yet no man said, What seekest thou? or, Why talkest thou with her?

28 The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men,

29 Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?

30 Then they went out of the city, and came unto him.
