Trump Triumphs With A Tax Cut Victory

In the midst of his freshmen, year in office US President Trump's Administration and Republican GOP reach a tax cut victory vote just in time for Christmas. The Republican tax bill passed with a 51-48 vote in the US Senate. The US House voted 227 to 203 to pass the bill, with 12 Republicans voting against it with absolutely no House Democrats voting for the Tax Cut Bill.

Tax cut reform has been a staple aspiration for not only President Trump but for many Americans who desire a potential beneficial redirection of tax regulations and hopefully improvement of the economy nationwide. However, it remains to be seen if this tax cut overhaul is beneficial to the wider working middle-class of the US populous and how the rearrangements of tax cuts will regenerate a robust economy as anticipated by supporters of the tax bill legislation.  

The approved Tax Cut legislation is one of the largest overhauls conducted by the US Government in decades.  According to the New York Times,

The $1.5 trillion tax bill, which is expected to head to President Trump’s desk in the coming days, will have broad effects on the economy, making deep and lasting cuts to corporate taxes as well as temporarily lowering individual taxes.


Despite those who disagree with the tax cut bill legislation President Trump Triumphs at the end of the year with the passage of one of the largest pieces of legislation that he promoted his continual support of on the campaign trail. Asa collective body the Republican GOP were able to push through with a tax cut bill that hopefully increases much needed favorably among its core voters in their districts as mid-term election draw nearer to the legislative bodies.
