This should help open your airways and clear your nasal passages.

4.      Eat well . Try to eat healthy and remember that soups have the double function of feeding you and hydrating you, so they are an ideal option. They are also easier to swallow if we have a sore throat from coughing.

5.     Use saline solution to clear the nasal passages . You can find it in the pharmacy, it will help hydrate your nose from the inside and you can breathe better.

6.      Gargle with salt water . Just put half a teaspoon of salt in a glass of water and stir. This mixture will calm the irritation in your throat and it is something that you can do every half hour if necessary.

7.    Contraindications during cold:

●     If you smoke, don't smoke . You will only make your throat even more irritated and worsen the symptoms you already have. Who knows? Maybe it is the perfect excuse and the motivation that you have been looking for for a long time to be able to quit. If you don't find the strength within yourself to make this decision, at least reduce the number of cigarettes you consume to those that are strictly necessary.

●     antibiotics . First of all, don't take them without a prescription . Your body also needs to learn how to fight off attacks. Taking antibiotics when it is not necessary is currently a problem that worries medical professionals due to the super-resistance of some bacteria derived from this practice. Medications need to be prescribed and ingested following the guidelines given by our doctor.

●     Exercising . It is a matter of opposing positions. Some experts believe that exercising helps eliminate toxins faster and will help speed recovery, but critics believe that if your body is weak, exercising will only prolong the problem. In this case, it is best to know how to listen to what your body tells you it needs and act accordingly.


It must be borne in mind that a normal cold usually lasts about ten days, however the different symptoms may appear at different times, which can lengthen its duration considerably.
