2017 Health Goals

I am so out of shape! I’m starting the new year out with trying to get back into a regular exercise routine that gets the old heart pumping. I think I’m going to be sore for a week though, and I didn’t really do that much! I did some yoga (sort of), 50 jumping jacks, a 15 second wall sit, 20 sit ups and then I redid some of the yoga (poses?). My legs are dying! I hope this gets easier as I go. I’m planning on doing this (or something similar) three times a week. And I will gradually increase everything that I’m doing as it does get easier.

I’m really looking forward to the summer when I can take my bike out again. That’s always been more fun to me than the indoor activities. We do have a stationary bike, but my husband has it set too high (he’s got longer legs than I do) and as I recall it’s a pain to readjust the seat.

This is one of my new habits that I’m trying to establish for 2017. I’m also going to be eating at least one fruit and vegetable every day, take vitamins, and floss. ( I know, flossing sounds kind of weird on this list, but it’s a healthy habit so I’m including it).

What are you doing this year to get healthy? I’d love to hear from you and maybe incorporate your goals in with mine. (I'm an introvert, so please don't suggest that I join a class, or workout with a couple friends, as I probably won't do that).
