Lambeau Field

Lambeau Field

I'm not much of a football fan, but I did have the good fortune to be able to go to the Green Bay Packers and New York Giants game last Sunday at Lambeau Field.

Lambeau Field. What is there to say about that? It is the oldest stadium and probably one of the only stadiums that still has bench seats. (My back and legs were sore the next day from sitting there for four hours, and I'd like to think I'm not that old). Anyway. It was a perfect night for a game despite it being early October in Wisconsin. For those of you who don't know, it gets really cold in Wisconsin, relatively early in the fall. As I recall, the temperature was 43 degrees Fahrenheit at the opening kickoff. Brrr. But we were all dressed for it, so it didn't feel that cold. Lizard girl over here felt it before anyone else did. By that I mean, I have poor circulation so if I don't move I get cold easily.

I happened to meet some really friendly people from New York while I was waiting for my brother. They talked about coming to Lambeau when the Pack isn't playing the Giants, so they could root for the Pack. Because Packer fans are too nice to root against. I'm not really sure why, but I happen to be a magnet for attracting older guys. Not that I'm looking or anything, it's just how these things go I guess. I have another couple of stories for another time if you're interested.

The game itself went well, for the Packers anyway. I think. I don't really know what I'm talking about in that regards. I probably shouldn't even be blogging about it. The Packers wound up winning, 23-16. That's really about all I've got as I don't want to sound like I know what's going on on the football front. But, next month you can look forward to my blog about my hockey team, which is something I know more about.

Go Pack Go!
