It's the elephant in the room. Abortion affects the lives of millions. In Black America it is a statistical fact that 20 million lives of black children have been lost to abortion. As the battle for the scantity of life and personhood wages, I want to use this show to address the elephant in the room with my two distinguished guests.
Walter B. Hoye II is both Founder and President of the Issues4Life Foundation, the California Civil Rights Foundation, Founder of the Frederick Douglass Foundation of California, an Executive Member of the National Black Pro-Life Coalition, a Board Member of The Morning Center, which was founded to provide free full-service maternity care for women in urban and under-served areas, a published author of the book Leadership from the IN|SIDE Out and serves as a leadership consultant. In 1984, God used the premature birth (six months, 2.1 pounds) of his son to teach him that the fetus is a person, a living, breathing human being.
Melissa Pellew is a full-time missionary and community apologist with Ratio Christi serving as Co-Chapter Director, with her husband Devin. She has been involved in pro-life activism since 2006--sidewalk counseling at abortion clinics, mentoring expectant mothers and fathers, speaking on pro-life apologetics and conducting trainings at churches, conferences, youth groups and the college campus. As former campaign leader for 40 Days for Life- Charlotte, she oganized a multi-church/multi-denominational presence at abortion clinics and community outreach. Melissa serves on the Board of Directors of The Life House maternity home, a pro-life ministry that offers free housing, life skills training, discipleship and mentoring to girls and women facing an unplanned crisis pregnancy.
