I remember a scene from the movie, A Beautiful Mind, when Jennifer Connelly studies a painting and she makes the comment, “God must be a painter.” I thought about this as I write the show description for this episode of the Write Stuff. Within the vastness of everything that the Lord is, He is an artist. A painter, a writer, a muscian, a poet, whatever art form there can possibly be, He is all of those things.
Writers, in my opinion, are blessed to be given this talent. Just like every artist is blessed with their God-given ability. However, though we use words to express ourselves, we should also be reminded we need God’s words inside of us that will help us along the way.

After over five years as a published erotic romance author, I am saying goodbye to that genre, and with it, the name I spent so long building up with my “Sexily *EVERS* After” books. I made a decision to accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, and it made being Shoshanna Evers uncomfortable for me, because I feel like I am no longer the same person who wrote those sexy books.
Now I want to write romance novels that also include a faith element. To write about people changing completely when God enters their lives, just as my life has changed.
I’m going to move forward with my career openly—no denying that I wrote as Shoshanna Evers—and let the fact that I used to be a hard-core Jewish erotica author and am now a Christian inspirational romance author be my testimony that God can change people’s lives completely.
