It’s a well-documented fact that the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) requires tremendous preparation- USMLE step 2 tutoring. But it is essential to mention that there is one sticking difference between the USMLE and every other licensing or qualifying exam- when it comes to USLME, you don’t take it in one go.

In simple words, the candidates must take and pass three separate exams (Steps) to get the medical license. They must appear for the exam during their medical education and the first years of residency.

There’s no denying that the USMLE Step 2 tutoring is typically stressful. However, the registration process of the exam can be tricky as well. As mentioned already, there are three steps to the exam. Hence you must register and schedule each exam.

Here’s a detailed breakdown of the steps and requirements necessary for registering the USMLE Step 2.

Right at the beginning, it is necessary to mention that the Step 2 CS exams have been postponed until 1st June later this year. This decision has been in effect due to the ongoing global health pandemic. The USMLE administration outfit has deemed it best to suspend the exam to maintain the safety and health of all parties involved.

1. Visit the NBME Website

Much like Step 1 as well as Step 2 CK of USMLE registration, you must log in to the NMBE website to register for Step 2 CS. Assuming that you have already appeared for the earlier steps, you will hold a registered account.

2. Go through Examination Details at the CS Evaluation Centers

You must look for the Step 2 CS Scheduling system for determining the decided test schedules at the CS Evaluation Centers in and Los Angeles, Atlanta, Houston, Philadelphia, and Chicago. It’s essential to mention that the program is updated regularly to provide the latest information on dates.

3. Registration Fee Payment

The USMLE Step 2 CS registration fee is about $1,290, which you can pay via credit cards. You must make the payment to move forward with your registration.

4. Await Your Eligibility and Scheduling Permit Email

Much like Step 1 and Step 2 CK, you must await your confirmation mail from the NBME. Also necessary to mention, all candidates applying for USMLE Step 2 CS are given a 1-year eligibility period.
