I often say that my recipe for life is that happiness = family & friends + puppy kisses + a great homemade meal + a kick-butt workout + a sunny day + ample amounts of laughter and fun. To me, these are the most important things in life.
These days you will normally find me in yoga tights and a t-shirt with a messy bun tying back my hair, cooking in the kitchen, spending quality time with my close tribe of friends and family, doing a yoga class and writing about health and wellness on my blog, Wholesome Balanced Wellness.
I became passionate about holistic health and wellness after getting diagnosed with thyroid disease and adrenal fatigue. At the time a friend recommended I focus on eating real food and the results I saw in myself were amazing. We truly are what we eat. Food is one of the main ways your body reacts with the environment around you and everything you consume goes into the cells in your body that help to sustain your life. When you focus on eating a well-balanced diet that consists of whole foods, you will feel better, just like I did.
I am an accountant by day and a holistic nutrition and health blogger by night with a health coaching degree from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. My aim is to help you learn a little bit more about nutrition, health and overall wellness so that you can navigate the complex maze that is life and come out happy and healthy on the other side.
