I once owned an small, old farmhouse. It had a hand dug well with rock sides that was 70 feet deep. I remember shining a light down it and being amazed by how deep it looked. I have no idea how men could have dug this hole and laid the rock sides. Someone once explained it to me but it still seems impossible.
But that hole is nothing. The Russians have drilled a hole that is 12.262 km deep. Now that is deep. It was a project to get to the molten part of the earth and study the rocks on the way down.
Keep this in mind when you find yourself in a spiritual hole. To you it may seem too deep from which to escape, but to God there is nothing too deep. No matter what your situation, God is able to help you out. Psalms 95:3-4 tells us “...GOD is the best, High King over all the gods. In one hand he holds deep caves and caverns, in the other hand grasps the high mountains.” (The Message)
In the physical world, God holds the deepest places of the earth. This is true in the spiritual realm also. He can hold you and deliver you from the deepest despair.
