Fall is a funny season. Some years it surprises us and arrives in September and winter takes over in late October. Other years it stays in hiding until November and gives way to winter in late December. The only sure thing we know about fall is that it will arrive and will eventually give way to winter, we just never know when. Weather forecasters will often make a prediction, but I think they really have no idea.
The same can be said for the second coming of Jesus. We really have no idea when He will come, we only know that He will. Anyone who tries to make a prediction as to when He will return is really just guessing. Mark 13:32 in the Message translation of the Bible on the second coming of Jesus says, “But the exact day and hour? No one knows that, not even heaven’s angels, not even the Son. Only the Father.” If God the Father is the only one who knows, our making predictions is useless.
We may not know the year, hour or minute of His return, but we do know that He will return, so we must always be ready.
