Micah 7:8 is an amazing verse. The second half of it says, “when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me.” (KJV)
There are times when we all will fall. As much as we might not like to admit it, it will happen. What we must remember is that we will get up. The verse does not say when I fall I will try to get up. It says I shall get up. That is where our focus needs to be. Not on the falling, but instead on the getting up.
We will also find times in our lives when we feel like we are sitting in a dark place. No matter how positive we may try to be, we know dark places or dark days will come. It is in those times that we need to realize that the only light that we need to escape that dark place is God. He will be our light in that dark place.
No matter what the situation may be, God is the one that can pull us up out of the deepest imaginable hole.
