What is the biggest thing in heaven? I always like to think it is God’s fridge door. In my mind, it must be huge, but not because He needs a large fridge for food. He needs a massive door to display all the wonderful things that His children do.
Think about it for a minute. When children bring home some work from school, or they draw a nice picture for their parents, where does it go? The parents always post it on the fridge door. I like to think God does the same thing.
Every time one of His children does something of which He is proud, He displays it on the fridge door. Whenever an angel comes by, He pulls him aside and points to one of these beautiful things and says, “See that, my son (or my daughter), did that.”
This may be a bit fanciful but God is proud of the things we do for Him. Psalms 147:11 says, “The LORD takes delight in his faithful followers, and in those who wait for his loyal love.” (NET) If we are truly followers of Him, we will strive to do things in which He will take delight. When we do, it goes on that huge fridge door.
