If I’m in no hurry, I will often take the backroads just to have a change of scenery.  Last week I did this in a place where the counties met at an awkward angle, the roads met at awkward intersections and I took what I thought was the correct turn.  After a while I realized I not only had no idea where I was, I was not sure in which direction I was travelling.  I stopped and asked directions to find that I was indeed lost and not travelling in the direction I had hoped.  All it took was a quarter mile and one turn and I was headed to my desired destination.  It ended up taking me about an hour to make a 30 minute journey.

In life, we sometimes find ourselves travelling along, unaware that we are really lost.  Some of us stop and try to correct our path, while others push along, refusing to admit mistakes.

In Luke 15:4, Jesus is starting a parable.  “What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?” (KJV)  That’s how Jesus is.  If one person is lost, He will search until He finds them.  Do you feel lost?  Call out to Jesus, He’s already looking for you.
