So, you've just made yourself a new video advertising your website and all the cool information you can find out there, but have no idea how to make sure people find it and get loads of views? Well, you've come to the right place to find out.
Firstly, I would just like to mention that the number of views that you can get for your video will depend a lot on the subject area it is. For example a tutorial on 'how to make your fortune' is likely to get far more views than a video of 'guinea pigs eating their lunch' (however cute the latter may be).
It really does depend on how much interest there is for your video and whether people will be searching for it and will find it worth their time watching.
Also, have you used the right keywords for your tags? The better the keywords the more views that you are likely to get. Use a keyword suggestion tool such as the Google AdWords Tool to find the exact phrases and words people are searching for and include them in the video's tags.
In the actual video, are you getting your message across and is it clear what you are saying? The easier it is for people to understand your point, the more likely it is they will subscribe, and therefore see your new videos and get it more views. Remember to be short, direct and to the point. There is nothing worse than someone going on and on and endlessly repeating points about their new service; this is only likely to put people off subscribing to your video channel.
Not only should the points that you're making be clear, but so also should the images within the video. There needs to be good lighting and sound quality (if there's audio). If you are advertising a website then it is a good idea to show a preview of the website; this could be screenshots or demonstrations of someone using the site and showing how easy it is to use.
The description of your video on YouTube is also important. In this text, you should clearly state what the video is about as well as having your main keyword phrases included naturally in the wording you use. You can also add the link to your website in it as well.
So remember to make your video about an interesting subject area, make a clear point, use good keywords and have good video quality.
