It will be shooting stars tonight (and through the weekend) between midnight and dawn so we recommend that those of us who can, should stay awake!!!
Let’s find a dark spot, away from city lights, and look up above. ONLY about 60 miles up, if we are lucky we will be able to see a celestial fireworks display of about 25 shooting stars an hour created by pieces of the H Orionid Meteor
The Orionid Meteor Shower is one of the two meteor showers created by the debris or residual chunks of the Halley’s Comet. Hopefully if the sky is clear, and the light of the moon helps a little, we will be able to see this celestial fireworks display created when pieces of the comet disintegrate in the Earth’s upper hemisphere.
there wouldn’t be a sky full of stars if we were all meant to wish on the same one!
