As soon as the winter arrives, our skin begins to dry out. The dryness makes the skin tone dull and the texture uneven. Not only that, it even causes wrinkles and acne.
The skincare products that we use in summer may not work the same way in winter. Mild formulas and more moisture-locking products are something we need to shift to in winter. You don’t have to break your budget to buy a whole new range of skincare products as the weather changes. All you need are a few tips and tricks to keep your skin supple and glowing in winter too.
Before you look around for the tips on the internet, just press the scroll-down button and thank me later!
Hyaluronic Acid for Skin
The skin becomes dehydrated naturally in winter. In order to maintain the pH level of the skin, incorporate hyaluronic acid in your skincare routine. It is an acid that is balances the pH level of the skin and makes it soft and supple.
Use Creamy Moisturizers
If you use gel-based moisturizers or lotions with a thin consistency, shift to heavy creams in winter. The more moisture you lock into your skin in this season, the suppler your skin will be. Also, make sure you use the moisturizer at least two to three times a day.
You cannot use abrasive formulas in winter as they will only further dry out your skin and worsen the condition. In order to get rid of the dead skin and flakes on your skin, use a mild scrub only a week. It will help improve the texture and keep the rough and dry texture at bay.
Moisture-Locking Face Packs
Just like we use masks for cleaning the pores and other purposes, using sheet masks infused with serums and oils help moisturize the skin. These masks help in brightening up the dull winter skin instantly. You can make your DIY masks at home too using avocado, milk and face oil too.
Use Facial Oil and Massage with Jade Roller
Jade roller is a new tool that every other blogger raves about these days. It is made of a Japanese jade stone. Massaging the skin with it has multiple benefits. The right way to use it is apply a few drops of facial oil on skin and massage with the help of a jade roller. It helps absorb the oil really well into the skin and improves the texture. Also, the cold stone helps calm the irritated and inflamed winter skin.
Also, take fine-quality fish oil or any other supplements for keeping your skin supple.
